"I was not expecting a code-style reception at "A Flemish Tale. To me, an in-person reception check-in is essential for a traveler overseas like me. Thankfully, I was waiting downstairs at least 2 hours before my "check-in time" at 3:00 p.m., so that I was able to meet, totally by chance, the lady in charge at the entrance. But for this, I would not have been able to get my access code. Imagine how scary it was! "

She made excellent recommendations for us to see Brugge in a non-touristy way, and was so genuine and sweet to us. "Nice, cute B&B. The owners are very polite and helpful and can give you a lot of tips. The rooms are comfortable and clean. For me the main issue was with the breakfast. As a family with young children, we like a rich breakfast with many options that can keep us going till late lunch. Unfortunately this was not the case. What was on offer was coffee, a boiled egg (no option for fried or an omelette) and a basket of bread/pastries with ham.and cheese. No cereal, no bacon, very little fruit. No...
