Amazing authentic experience of living in a heritage palace with lots of history and first hand experience of beautiful Fresco paintings.

Different one time experience
Posted 16 Aug 2016 on HotelsHotel is a good one time experience. The best part is grand dining hall. The hotel has good space for the number of rooms it has so you wont feel overcrowded ever. Make sure you explore all the small hidden treasures like Badal Mahal and The Dungeon. Food is very expensive for the quality and spread it offers. It is captive selling as there are no option nearby.

Normally outside my price range.
Posted 30 Jul 2016Was one of only a very few guests and, perhapos because of this, but no complaints from me, I got absolute top treatment from the beginning. The facilities were so atmospheric, just full of the ambience of a bygone era.One staff member, Syam, must be singled out for the way he made me feel so much at home and certainly went the extra mile to ensure my stay here and experience of the real history of this whole area, the forts, havelis, the local people was an experience I will always remember. The only one small problem was the lack of wifi in the room .... otherwise a perfect three days!!

Good hotel but overpriced for location
Posted 10 Aug 2013 on HotelsThe hotel is very well renovated and maintained and staff are very friendly. However, Alsisar is a dusty village with population less than 8000 people. Cannot go anywhere without driving for a few hours and nothing much to do in the village apart from seeing a few havelis (they all seem similar after a while). For the location, the hotel and food is significantly over-priced. Also, it would have been good to have wifi in the room. I understand the absence of televisions to maintain the period setting but wifi can be provided without compromising the same. Presently, it has to be accessed in the reception (which is not air-conditioned) and is patchy. With all that said, however, the hotel is very comfortable and ideal if the aim is only rest and relaxation.

The room was absolutely amazing and the bed was the most comfortable I ever slept in, much more comfortable than my bed at home. Jeep Tour was nice as well with tasty pakore and Masala Chai. We saw hiran fighting and interesting vegetables and trees.
Unfortunately I was the only guest during dinner so I will never stay again during the week. There were a few other guests but it seems they had room service. This is such a pity because the dining room is so wonderful, hard to find any similar. But being the only guest in this fantastic room was not a nice feeling.
Food was very good but unfortunately no buffet breakfast.
A big minus was that there wasn't hot water at a quarter past six in the morning 😰. Although they promised that hot water was available from 6 to 10 in the morning.
I will go again but only during weekend when there are a lot of other guests and it's full of life.
The had life music in the courtyard as well but same problem - nobody there to enjoy.
So only on weekends

Le grand luxe en Inde !
Cadre de l’hôtel grandiose. Chambre superbe.
Hôtel-Palais à visiter.
Piscine propose
Petit déjeuner parfait.
Personnel serviable
Diner en terrasse correct mais cher pour l’Inde.
Ce village est situé en dehors des circuits classiques mais mérite le détour.
