"I recently stayed at The Pines Melaka for 4 days and 3 nights. The hotel is conveniently located just a short drive to and from Jonker Street, making it easy to explore the area. We stayed on the 27th floor, and our room offered a beautiful view. However, we were woken up at 5/6 am each morning by the loud chanting from the nearby mosque, which was quite disruptive. "The hotel is dated and renovation works seems to be ongoing. Can hear hammering sounds in the daytime throughout our stay. Rooms are bad soundproofing, can hear next door guests talking. Heavy bass from nearby disco can also be heard from 9.30-10pm onwards(our room is seaview facing), not nice if you are light sleeper. Breakfast varieties are ok with enough sitting area. WiFi is very good. Shopping malls are just opposite the hotel with roads in between, which can be quite tricky to cross...

"Property is abit rundown. But the water park is the best ever for my kids. So many slides. I got one free ticket for the water park, courtesy of the hotel staff. Location wise, the hotel is very near to the highway exit but abit far from Melaka town. Will definitely visit again."

"Super welcoming, friendly and helpful reception staff. Loved their welcome cool towels and sorbet. The reception area is designed in such a way it channels the air and makes it very cool when returning from exploring. Room was very spacious, loved the outdoor patio area. Enjoyed the evening burner in the room for smell and for preventing mosquitoes. Loved the rooftop pool. Thought the breakfast was a bit blah. Staff seemed somewhat indifferent. Some of the food did not appear to be very fresh....
