Wonderful hotel in Magland!
Posted 12 Sep 2022 on HotelsThe beautifully designed and furnished hotel still had a casual, welcoming feel. The owners live on site and are very polite and helpful, interested enough to feel engaged but not intrusive or nosy. The room was spotless as was the rest of the hotel and we appreciated the full-sized toiletries.
The only negative thing I could say about the place is that there is a bit of road noise if you have the windows open.

Beautiful boutique hotel decor with amazing sense of style. Immaculately clean with very comfortable bed and excellent bed linen.Very good en suite bathroom with walk-in rainfall shower as well as a hand held option. Good toiletries. Very competitive price point. The owner could not have been more charming ur helpful - friendly and welcoming. Very good comprehensive breakfast in a wonderful breakfast room. Very highly recommend.

Posted 7 Jul 2019 on HotelsStayed here whilst passing through Troyes. Check in was simple and quick. The receptionist was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Room was basic but the bed was comfy and it had a good shower. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed that evening, but I was told of other eateries close by.

Amazing stay at the annexe! One of our our best hotel stay ever thanks to a combination of factors : the hotel is brand new and has been super tastefully decorated , the room was very large with a kid corner , breakfast was great with high quality ingredients and last but not least, the two managers have been amazing and super helpful. We will definitely come back!

Hotel is nice and renovated. Only positive aspect. No reception, no restaurant, 5 rooms so it’s a small hotel

Next to the highway. Combination of small village and industrial area.

We paid €138 via Expedia. Based on location and hotel standard, I would not expect above €100

We arrived 845pm. Hotel was closed. Check in instructions mentioned “check in 3-9pm, greeting by host”
After calling property owner, we were finally “welcomed” by a yelling owner asking us “what do you want?” and aggressively telling us it’s our duty to read sms instructions (send in French) stating how to have access. Very hostile and unfriendly
We decided to go for late dinner in nearby area. When we returned, the 2 owners came again yelling towards us claiming we were trying to cheat them as they were not able to charge my credit card. They insulated us, calling us the worst swear words in French. Very hostile. As we had no other alternatives, we decided still to stay. However we can NOT recommend this hotelMore

le samedi matin à 8:48 AM message marqué lu par nos iphone respectifs comme pour chacun de mes clients j envoie un long SMS d accueil et de bienvenue
et laissant les consignes (le code) pour récupérer la clef de chambre . en recuperant la clef il y a une petite carte de visite avec mon téléphone pour pouvoir me joindre mais j habite dans l hôtel donc j entends les allers et venues . Notre hôtel était complet
Vers 20:45 j entends des grands coups de poing contre notre porte d 'entrée vitrée .j accours et ouvre la porte demande à ces messieurs si ils sont mes derniers clients et leur précise qu' ils ont reçu un sms avec toutes les consignes au préalable.
le ton monte car ce dernier n apprécie pas mes propos et pensait que de taper contre la porte était une façon pour lui de s annoncer . Il est vrai que je lui rappel qu' il avait toutes les cartes en main pour rentrer et rejoindre sa chambre , ce dernier est surpris qu' il n y ai pas de lobby dans notre entrée mais le concept hôtel maison de famille est tel. il discute la prestation et le prix me disant que cela ne vaut pas 138 euros alors que je venais de lui préciser que je l avais déjà surclassé ....
je lui dis que ces propos désobligeant et agressifs envers moi sont tout de même blessants .
il prend les clef de la chambre et part avec son ami pour dîner. Ils reviennent vers 22:00 je les accueillent et précise que le paiement de sa chambre est refusé lui pense déjà avoir tout payé et me dit c est normal cette carte bleue ne marche pas vous ne pouvez pas encaisser . j arrive à me faire régler certes sans trop de difficulté la chambre .Mon mari arrive lui dit qu' il n a pas été correcte avec moi qu' il m a manqué de respect le ton monte il invite mon mari a sortir dehors pour en découdre ...... le mots et les gestes de ce monsieur étaient violents et la position de mon conjoint était de la pure défense
finalement il me présente ses excuses mais reformule que c est minable et que c est du vol
nous avons été référencé parmi les 5 plus belles maison de Rhône alpes auvergne avons accueilli un représentant du guide Michelin.
nous sommes dans un hameau et non dans une zone commerciale
et pour finir ce monsieur accompagné ne voulait pas dormir avec l autre personne alors qu' il avait réservé qu une chambre me demande en plus une autre couette pour se faire un lit .
il est dommage que tout soit partit de si peu car avec la lecture du SMS de 8:48 AM il avait toutes les cartes en main pour passer un bon séjour à l annexe

Modern but in the style of the local traditions where each detail seemed measured and executed with intent. The owner gave us a very warm welcome and a lot of great advice for the area.
