Hotel rooms are very updated and it has a good restaurant.
Multiple pillows, and comfortable bed, with a good thermostat.

Pros: C.f. trap.
Cons: Carpets removed, repairs made.
O upkeep seems to be done. Very strong smell li,e mold or musky sme.l.

Cute little hotel near the ocean

Pros: Its clean and the rooms are a good size.
Cons: Wifi in the rooms is a must. There is no Wifi in the rooms and if you want to connect to the wifi you have to come down to the reception area.
Location: There is a natural swimming pool right opposite the hotel that would be very useful in the summer months. There is a little Aquarium too.
Cute little hotel with great views of the ocean and the natural swimming pool. Only thing with the hotel is you must rent a car as it is at least an hour away from the main city of Funchal. The drive though is very picturesque. I loved staying at this place and they put out a decent breakfast. Please be aware though that the reception is usually unmanned and if you are arriving late you must inform them. Don't arrive after 10:00PM as you would not be able to check-in and maybe left stranded.
There is no WIFI connection in the rooms which was very annoying. You have to come down to the reception if you wanted to connect to wifi.
A short drive from the hotel is Se Vicente and Siexal both nice places to visit. The caves are also close by. These are activities you can do on your own if you have a car.

Promising hotel, tidy, but...
Posted 3 May 2017 on EbookersThe smell inside was terrible. Had to sleep with both window and balcony doors wide open. Maybe it must be due to sea water mist coming inside and causing fungus. The view was great from room 307.
