Ok for one night
Posted 17 Dec 2023 on HotelsOverpriced but fabulous location for one night. Think travelodge before renovations. I was a female solo traveller and it suited my plans and felt safe.
Staff lovely, easy check in/out and easy to park at the hotel or opposite.
Nice little touristy town.
My room was clean but missing a net curtain and as it was ground floor I couldn’t open the curtains as people walked past. If I was there more than one night I would have asked to move.
Slow WiFi, but it worked, no tv signal. Dust fell off the main curtain each time I shut it.
Double glazing needs replacing as it’s not clear, but once I managed to open the door (dodgy lock) there was a fabulous view.
Great shower cubicle and pressure, but dirty shower head and sink.
No kettle, this is a standard hotel requirement at this price, this needs addressing urgently.
Woodwork has rust coming out of it.
Definitely needs a renovation, but I wouldn’t spend £87 here again.
Breakfast was Ok, no juice on offer but nice coffee machine and a basic range of hot and cold offerings, enough to keep you going.
I didn’t see anyone in the pools.
The bed was actually really comfortable and it was nice to have a proper double bed.
I would return at half the price as it is in a great spot and the staff were really nice, and not their fault the hotel is tired and overpriced. I walked past the Calomar and it looks much newer so sadly I’d choose that place next time.

The beds were like rocks : everything was old and just painted over …the only thing good was updated baths and no carpet in rooms . Old plastic chairs and flaky paint everywhere

Basic option in Sao Vicente
Posted 16 Oct 2020 on HotelsThe hotel was very quiet during the stay. I found the hotel to be fairly basic. I only stayed a night and would not want to stay for my longer. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. The view was good from the balcony and being so close to the sea was good, but I’d stay at another hotel if returning to the area.

Lugar paradisíaco
Posted 8 Sep 2020 on HotelsLugar paradisíaco.
