"This is a great option for larger families and this is our second time staying here. I've taken one star off for not having air conditioning as the upstairs gets very hot. Unfortunately they don't have AC to keep the bedrooms cool. The Doors and windows don't have any fly screens so you can't leave them open as you'd be swamped by bugs and mosquitos if you leave the doors and windows open to cool the place down. They need to install AC in all bedrooms rooms and living rooms and or put screens...

"DO NOT STAY HERE ON A MONDAY The motel unit was fantastic and cozy. Had 3 single bed in the upstairs and a queen down stairs. Was nice and tidy. However the town really disappointed us. On mondays apparently everything is closed. We got in at 8 and there was no food establishment open so we had to skip dinner. But the room nonetheless was great! So defiantly stay here but just not on a Monday. "

"Great retro motel, clean as a whistle, good sized room, parking at door. Our key was in the door on arrival. Five minutes walk into town. Dinning options are very basic on a Monday night. We would have been better off cooking in the units kitchen. Overall a great night."

"Checked in late so you have to inform them and process was easy. Older property but rooms were clean. They had heated blanket in queen bed which was nice when cold. "

"Lake Tekapo cottages are awesome and so conveniently located to the area attractions. The cottage was maintained beautifully. "
