Very central in Machynlleth. Large private car park. The building is quite quirky, parts have been updated but others are in need of attention. Some staff very nice but others rather offhand. Comfy bed.

Wynnstay Hotel, Machynlleth, 10th August 2024
Posted 12 Aug 2024 on HotelsI stayed for one night in a single room with en-suite, a comfortable chair, a desk, teas and coffees. Everything very clean, very white towels and sheets, mattress a bit old but I had a good night's sleep. It's a large old building. I didn't see a lift, so up the stairs and along several corridors to find the room. Breakfast was excellent and very tasty. All the staff were friendly, polite and helpful.

Lovely old building. Lots of different rooms/areas. Good beer. Good food. Our room was a bit tired and could do with a bit of love. New people have just taken over the hotel. Need a bit of time to find their feet. I’m sure they’ll get there.

I had a good stay at The Wynnstay. It was quite chaotic when I checked in so I wasn’t given wifi details or told whether breakfast was included (it was and I missed it). The hotel is very conveniently located in the centre of Machynlleth. It’s quite an old building but it’s quite charming. There’s a lovely bar downstairs with great staff. The double bed is actually two singles pushed together which wasn’t great but had a good night’s sleep.

Lovely people and comfortable room.
Posted 5 May 2024 on HotelsLovely people here in this traditional hotel in the heart of Machynlleth. Just the warm welcome and comfy stay I needed at the start in my holiday. And the Glamorgan Sausage for breakfast was spectacularly tasty!

The rooms were in need of a lick of paint but otherwise ok.
