"The complex had everything we needed. Spacious and clean apartment with an amazing view over Funchal and the sea, with a nice size balcony and outdoors seating. The downside was the road in-between the accommodation and the facilities. It was quiet late at night although the traffic in the morning with all the tourist vehicles coming up the hill was rather noisy. We live in a village, so noticed it. "We stayed in an oceanview room with kitchenette, 2 balconies. Very clean. Great location close to shops and bus stop. Daily breakfast was a great assortment and cooked to order eggs. Will stay again."

"I love the location by a beautiful park, in a walkable area. Good price for older charming hotel. to be clear I dont like many modern hotels with soulless modern decor. The lobby is staffed, chocolate shop out front attached. Lift to all floors from parking garage. Setup for an extended stay but lovely for the 1 night we stayed."

"Terrace Mar was a great hotel to stay a week visit in Madeira. Very easy to walk, catch a bus or taxi. Eduardo and Renato at the front desk was very accommodating. Fatima made an amazing breakfast. We loved the rooftop pool and hot tub."

"We had a lovely stay the communication has been excellent the apartment was clean with a daily maid coming in apartment is close to the Savoy hotel and excellent restaurants 10minute walk into the centre of Funchal or you can download the bolt app there version of Uber 3.75euros one way will differnatley go back highly recommend."

"Excellent property and owner. Communication to get in to property etc clear and in good time. Apartment super clean, modern, excellent decor and well stocked. We cooked all our one week stay and had all we needed. The dishwasher and washing machine added luxuries. Ate most days on the balcony in December. "The property is a 15 minute bus ride from the centre of Funchal, in the Santo Antonio area. We really liked this as it felt like being in a very normal suburban area, even if this area did bring the world Ronaldo! "Great communication from the owner. Missing a few conveniences that would have been a nice touch (coffee pods, extra toilet paper, soap etc). Other than that the location was perfect. Right above a cool bar that wasn’t noisy at all. Slept with an open window and the sounds of the ocean waves. "

"We had a great time in Madiera. The flat was right in the city centre of Funchal, a short walk to the sea front and its surroundings. The flat was really nice, has everything you need and the balcony at night over looking the city is like a hidden gem in it self. We will be coming back again!"

"The house was new and very clean. Garden around the house was lovely. Sunset views were amazing. Jorge was nice and very responsive. We had issue with unpleasant smell in bathrooms on rainy and windy days ( due to air pressure). Parking was not next to the house and sometimes unavailable so we had to park on a street below. "

"I'm a plane Spotter, so it was ideal for me, 30 minutes walk from Madeira airport, views over looking the airport, there is no heating or air conditioning in the bungalow, it's well equipped quite spacious, new like condition, considering how close it was to the runway aircraft noise wasn't much of a problem, not really any flights 9pm until 6 or 7am, From Neil "

"The view was amazing from our balcony and I really enjoyed how centrally located it was. There were two supermarkets right around the corner and multiple places to eat. Would highly recommend!"

"This hotel was in a great position to walk into Funchal old town either along the promenade or down the many side streets. There is also a lovely park nearby with cafes. We got the Aerobus from the airport which drops you off within a 2 min walk (stop number 10) 6 euros. The breakfast every morning was amazing, continental,full english,cereals,fruit,pastries even smoked salmon on some days. There are 2 available swimming pools. One is a short walk over a bridge and down by the sea. The smaller one is in the garden which we used every day. All the staff were very helpful and welcoming. Our room was clean and tidy and very quiet."

"The hotel is above a shopping centre without any grounds around the hotel, however, it is in an excellent location within easy walking distance to the old town. All the staff were very helpful throughout our stay. The bedroom was sleek and modern with an ‘open plan’ shower/wash area. The beds were very comfortable with 3 different pillows varying from soft to firm. There are no views other than from the rooftop swimming pool and bar area but this didn’t significantly detract from the stay as we were out most of the time. The breakfast buffet was excellent with good quality ingredients and freshly squeezed orange juice. We were also amused by the mobile robot which took the dirty dishes back to the kitchen. Overall the hotel lives up to it’s 5 star billing, is excellent value for money and I would highly recommend a stay at the Vine the next time you are in Funchal."
