Couldn't wish for anything better
Posted 9 Oct 2019 on HotelsAn absolutely amazing property, the hosts Jane and Julian are delightful. Excellent hosts as they are very knowledgeable, fun and friendly and you have everything there you could wish for, from luxury products in the room to amazing breakfasts and an honesty bar. What more is there to say! Would definitely recommend as the property looks exactly as you see it with the added touch or brilliant hosts.

Quaint and Comfortable
Posted 20 Feb 2019 on HotelsWe loved the atmosphere of Abbotsford and it definitely felt like an escape. On the day of our visit the owners were away but we were still greeted and shown to our room. The suites are spacious and feel like home. There isn’t a TV as other reviews have mentioned but this didn’t bother us at all. The bathroom is a highlight with a luxurious spa bath - candles around the bath were a nice touch. We had an early departure and so missed the signature breakfast - be aware that this isn’t served until 8:30am. You can request a packed breakfast however apparently this needs to be requested 24hrs in advance, we requested the night before and never heard anything back. I do think that the involvement of the owners and their personal touch would make this an excellent stay. Inside the country house itself is a well-stocked book cupboard and ‘honesty bar’ as well as a gorgeous dog!

Like our breakfast served in the dining room, our breakfast provisions for a packed breakfast are fresh and purchased on the early afternoon prior to your departure. It simply was not possible to provision one prior to your 7am departure given your evening arrival. We hope you enjoyed the upgrade we provided and look forward to your return.

Very confortable stay
Posted 17 Dec 2017 on HotelsVery welcoming B&B. Large room, well appointed and comfortable. Large lounge for use in main building with free WiFi. Honesty bar also - very good! Breakfast cooked to order. Only a short drive into Lyndoch for dinner.

Pooling in bathroom floor makes it dangerous and
Posted 25 Apr 2017 on WotifWater from the shower pooled on central bathroom floor and makes it dangerous and messy. It is an accident waiting to happen. Otherwise excellent breakfast and most hospitable staff and comfortable bed. Price is expensive for what you get.

Thank you for your review. The suite in question iseferred to as an accessible suite where it's designed for those with a disability. On your checkin, you would have been advised by myself or my wife that the ensuite has no hob for wheelchair access purposes. This means water from the very large shower can flow to the central drain in the ensuite. However, you would have also been alerted to the two large rubber mats plus the two cotton bath mats. These bath mats would have been replaced each day of your stay. We are glad you enjoyed our breakfast and hospitality. As far as our price is concerned, we prefer to rely on what the overwhelming number of reviews tell us about our value for money.

Great spot for visiting vineyards and relaxing
Posted 15 Mar 2017Julian and Jane are lovely hosts and we enjoyed chatting to them both. Felt very welcome and used the lounge in the main house for reading and relaxing where Julian provided a tray/plates/cutlery for our food and wine tastings. The property is set on a hill so wonderful views over the valley.

Julian and Jane are very welcoming. They have a lovely property which is very handy for vineyards and restaurants.
