So, the property was good and clean, and the service was great. However, our stay was not great as our whole family fell sick while we were there. My son actually ended up spending 2 days in the hospital. On our last night there the hotel lost power due to a storm and it was out for about 4 hours or more. They did not offer a refund for this even though their emergency lighting also was not working making traversing the stairwells dangerous. They only offered points to Mariott customers. So even though our stay was good up until the last night, with being sick and not being offered any refund for the last night due to the power being out, this left a bad taste in the mouth. They should at least have offered a refund for the one night without power.

Hi Nathan,We're sorry you experienced so many tribulations during your stay with us. Weather and power outages are not something we can control, so generally speaking we don't provide compensation or refunds due to external events. To your point, the power was back on that evening after being out about 4 hours. We do allow guests to depart early or cancel without a penalty when circumstances are beyond our control, but we do not provide compensation if you decide to stay.I am sorry we couldn't meet that expectation, and I hope your son is on the mend or healthy.

We loved staying at this hotel for Liberty college move in weekend. The hotel was very accommodating and even had cold water and snacks available in the lobby. We would definitely stay here again!!

Tired in Lynchburg

I have stayed here before, first time was better, lobby is nice, room size is good, room was clean, but this time I found the bed not so comfy. I stay in a lot of hotels during the year and normally sleep well, this time it felt as I kept rolling to the center as if there was a v in the bed, mattress was a bit unsupportive as well
