Lovely quiet location

The cottage on the whole is lovely.. there’s so much wildlife & it’s very quiet & peaceful.. but uncomfortable, the chesterfield sofa & chair are old & torn.. and the other sofa is a spare bed which is ok but not the best to sit on.
The main bed is uncomfortable & the bedding could be replaced.
The owners were lovely & did contact to check our stay was going well, which it was otherwise.
It’s a lovely location & we did enjoy our stay. I would still recommend.

Fantastic family stay
Posted 7 May 2024 on HotelsWe had a great family stay at Hazelhurst Farm. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and fully equipped with everything we needed. The hosts (Hayley and Carl) were also super nice and helpful. We'll definitely come back

Cute and stylish cottage (we were in the Milking Parlour), easy to find and good location. Cosy for a few days for a couple but the outside space a bit disappointing.
Inside the cottage is pretty much exactly as per the photos. It's stylish and cleverly designed for multi-functional self-catering. Even has a dishwasher! Some tea, coffee beans, sugar, milk and olive oil kindly provided. The smart home features for air-con, heating, radio etc take getting used to but are effective. Could do with a few blankets to avoid putting heating on of an evening.
Very comfortable bed, small wardrobe and hairdryer/iron provided. Compact but powerful shower, small but good quality towels and gorgeous local toiletries. It is extremely quiet here - I am a very light sleeper and did not have any issues at all.
There isn't much privacy from the front - with all the windows looking over the courtyard with fairly regular comings and goings. We kept the blinds down which meant it was quite dark inside during the day.
The main reason we booked this cottage was the outside space which looked inviting and cosy. Unfortunately, it was nothing like the photos. Half the furniture shown wasn't there, no scatter cushions, and the seat cushions were stained and had mould on. The deck hadn't been swept of fallen leaves or rotting fruit from the trees. It just wasn't somewhere we could relax with a book or have an evening drink together, so we stayed inside. Pity.

A nice couple of nights, a few issues that we did have were sorted promptly, was disappointed that the cottage didn’t have Air Con as advertised on Expedia.

Excellent short stay at Hazlehurst Farm. We stayed in the Cowmans Cottage with our young daughter (we bough our own cot as this was not available - and clearly noted as so - but were pleasntly surprised to find a high chair was in the cupboard!). We were only there for 2 nights but would stay again. The only real gripe we had was that the water pressure for the shower was fairly low, and the lack of blackout blinds in the bedroom meant it was very bright early in the morning. There were also some very loose paving slabs on the pathway that we nearly tripped on, but in fairness we did not get an opportunity to feed this back to the owners until now.

Design before comfort
Posted 9 Jun 2023 on HotelsProperty interior furnishing were in keeping with the age and a lot of thought had gone into the theme etc. Disappointingly however, sofa's, bed etc. really uncomfortable.
Kitchen didn't have basics e.g. tea pot, chopping board, grill wire etc. Blinds in bedroom & landing had been left open & wouldn't close (lucky hubbie handy) Generally in need of some maintenance & love back into the place, cobweb & spider removal!
Area was quiet and nice to see local nature.
