Mr. Ali and Abdullah, as well as the complete hotel staff takes care of us on all aspects. They are super friendly, that make you feel like they are your family. They provided us the best options possible for visiting so many places in few days at the best price. They really made as feel very comfortable… you can trust them very quickly. For sure I fully recommend Shady Hotel in Luxor, they exceeded my expectations!!!

Dissatisfaction and disappointment

Several days before my trip I tried to contact the hotel to confirm did they were picking me up. They said they would arrange transportation. The day before my trip I contacted to confirm they are picking up since my flight was landing around midnight. They did not return my message. I tried again before my flight to Luxor in once I landed. I Donely did not return my message, but they didn’t answer their phone with multiple items both from myself and from airport staff in Luxor. Because it was after midnight at this point and I’ve never been in Luxor, I decided to book another hotel. I’m very disappointed in their service.

The name of the hotel suits them.SHADY!

Firstly, when we arrived there were no towels and sheet/blanket in the room. Then there was no Air-conditioning controller so I asked for it. They said “it’s winter, we don’t turn the AC on, you don’t need it”. Yes it’s winter for Egypt (mind you, during the day it was 30 deg C). I do understand but we booked this hotel as it says air-conditioned on the advert as even our summer in the UK is colder than their winter. So we did say that we want it on as that's what it says in the ad. They refused at first but said okay in the end…after an hour and 2 more discussions, they kept on saying “okay” but were not turning it on. It was only when we asked for a refund so we can transfer to another hotel that they turned it on. Will never come back!

Would not recommend for female travellers. Owners are a bit sleazy. Location and price are great

You basically did not stay at the hotel, so how can you say that, and Expedia website knows that you did not stay at the hotel, so how can I publish this false comment and all that because you know that the site will deduct your visa, which is not a good trick?

Eu deveria ter dado mais ouvidos a alguns comentários, pensei q era frescura mas não é, o hotel eh sujo, IMUNDO, a toalha de banho precisa de lavagem especial urgente pois as mesmas fediam ao ponto de não ter como utilizar, tive q me secar c camiseta, tbm tive q colocar uma camiseta encima da fronha pois essas estavam tbm sujas, n tive coragem de usar o pano q seria o cobertor, a área da piscina eh terrível, as cadeiras de piscina n tinham condições de alguém sentar de aspecto tão feio é SUJO. O dono do hotel e o filho são insuportáveis, nos oprimindo tentando vender passeio, com muitas e muitas perguntas que achei de péssimo tom, fugíamos deles, e isso eh horrível. Só n dou a pior nota pois ainda sim nos serviu, a cama n era horrível, o banheiro ok o dois atendentes da recepção eram simpáticos, e o rapaz do restaurante também, n ousei comer no hotel pois se o hotel em si já era suja imagine essa cozinha, sem condições, está numa área central bem movimentada e barulhenta, o q já esperávamos e n eh culpa deles, sinceramente, só fique aki se for sua última opção.
