After paying for our stay well in advance, we returned from Gran Canaria (midnight) to be told our room was not available and we could not be accommodated. There was no communication to let us know this was the case, eg email or telephone, so to arrive to this mess was shocking. Having travelled 8 hours from Scotland and returning the next day, we were absolutely furious and very upset and the situation we were left in. The night manager who we spoke to said he had "no idea" regarding our situation claiming there was no handover to inform him which whether true or untrue is completely unacceptable. This experience left a bitter end to our holiday to say the least and has ended any faith we had in using Holiday Inn hotels the future.

The carpet in your room and corridors didn’t seem very clean. My biggest issue- we were given an accessible room which we didn’t require but didn’t really mind. Part of the equipment included an assistance alert system which had a bright green light which lit up the room all night and stopped us getting any sleep at all. I did mention this to the person on the desk when we checked out and it was suggested we should have come to reception to inform them, this wasn’t an option as we didn’t fancy changing rooms at 11.30pm when we needed to be at the airport for 5am

The first room we were in was extremely hot and the AC was not working.We had to move into another room.The AC was working but not properly, there was a sign on it that needs service. The phones were not working so we had to go downstairs for everything we needed.

Everything was great - nice to have a restaurant on site and looks modern. The bathrooms though have poor ventilation and looks like pipes need clearing. People and service were nice!

Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms dirty - hairs in bed, mirrors dirty and hairs in shower. Complained about the cleanliness and got moved rooms but still the beds had hairs in them, big make up stains on curtains, bathroom sink and mirrors not cleaned to good standard. Air con broken, no windows to open and fan not effective so room was boiling hot nobody had a good night sleep, not relaxing at all.

Super friendly staff . Clean room . Very close to airport . Food in restaurant was very good and reasonable price . All in all a good stop over for an early flight
