Our stay here was so wonderful and peaceful! It is a beautiful golf course, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and we appreciated the his & hers sinks. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the German countryside so much, that I absolutely did not want to leave! We hope to visit Schloss Ludersburg again very soon!
The restaurant was also delicious (and seemed to have some good options- the salmon was amazing, and I honestly think the salmon was better here than anywhere in the US [maybe apart from Alaska!]) and the breakfast was very satisfying! They even have a very nice espresso machine at breakfast that makes cappuccinos and lattes.
The employees went out of their way to assist us whenever we had a question or a request. And we felt welcomed here! We are not big golfers, but we hope to come back just to enjoy the peace and quiet and visit some of the neighboring towns again. There was so much to see (Luneburg, Celle, etc), and Schloss Ludersburg makes a great "home base." I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the German countryside!

Poor experience!!

Reception closed after 5 pm so had to check in at the restaurant across the road, cleaning staff were ill so nobody cleaned our room( and no apology for it or compensation), and as little guest staying place was very dark, fire places not lit - felt like we were alone at the whole place. Shame as it is a beautiful venue.

An oasis for horse lovers and golfers
Posted 9 Nov 2018 on HotelsA perfect getaway in the countryside. The best feature of the resort is the feel that you are at a Kentucky thoroughbred farm (only less horses). Glad our room was located in the stall. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the hotel lounge - nice and quiet. Bathroom was spacious with both a shower and separate bathtub. Toilet had its own sliding door for extra privacy from the rest of the bathroom. Our room looked out to the golf course and was nice to see the fog as it lifted in the morning. Bathrobes were soft and warm. Wish we could have purchased them. A place with history yet modern conveniences. A must if you are in the area.

Beautiful Schloss in a golf resort

Pros: The setting & decor.
Location: Rural - in a small village - with 3 golf courses.
We stayed in this hotel on a cycling tour as there were no other available hotels in the area - so we had to cycle a fair way off the trail - but it was worth it. We felt so spoilt the hotel is amazing. The rooms spacious, the decor classic, the rural setting peaceful & the golf courses looked tempting. The breakfast was really tasty & we had a nice dinner in the village restaurant. Don't overlook this hotel it is worth a detour.
