What an unexpected gem! We recently stayed at Inside the Wall and would absolutely recommend this to anyone travelling to Lucca. We received welcome messages prior to our arrival. Our hostess met us on arrival and the room was both beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. We had a small issue with the AC, but this was immediately rectified with above and beyond service. This was definitely one of the highlights of our recent trip and we sincerely hope we'll have the opportunity to return one day.

Location, location, location! Just inside the Santa Maria gate. The owners have taken a small space and made it everything you need. Outer and inner doors have codes, so no messing with keys. Staff was very helpful. Had restaurant suggestions at front desk. Great beds and pillows.

We stayed only one night during our day-and-a-half in Lucca. Wish it could have been longer! We had a wonderful experience in Lucca and staying at Inside the Wall. We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was very stylish and functional. Communication was good and check-in was easy. One small complaint, not the fault of property, is that it is situated next to a bakery which starts working very early. Probably not an issue with all suites. Once we figured out, went back to sleep.

A simple hotel, quite clean, and a small room. Ok for one night, if you like very soft beds. The air-condition could be better running. No service, as described. A friendly young woman at the reception at arrival. But: the same doorcode for all guests in the same room, that doesn't feel safe.
