The hotel was perfect for us. We were in town for D-Day celebrations and it's very conveniently located right on the beach. It's close to a really good restaurant. The bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. The breakfast exceeded our expectations and had a large variety of good.

The location was excellent and the staff quite friendly. The actual rooms were very basic and bare but we slept ok overall. Walls were thin and you could hear everything (and I mean ‘everything’).

Convenient for ferry

Posted 1 Nov 2016 on Hotels
The staff were very friendly both on check in and checkout. The view from the window lovely overlooking the sea and a great balcony for sitting and people watching. The room was a good size as was the bed. However noise from other guests and traffic was very intrusive and not good for a peaceful night. Strangely no cover on the duvet but the bed was comfortable. Fridge in the room but no hot drink making facilities. Didn't try the pool or breakfast so can't comment on those. Shower strange as you could only hand hold the spray as it fixed in a vertical position.

Great location. Very helpful staff. Little dirty but for the money. Can't complain.

Great location, smug staff.

The staff acted like our stay was an imposition, especially the restaurant staff. We have traveled to Europe several times and can converse in French. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and smug. The rooms were clean and at a great location.

Perfectly fine but overpriced

Pros: Near the beach. Parking. Beds comfortable.
Cons: Decoration of rooms. Some basic maintenance.
Location: Only there one night. Very busy due to firework display so some difficulty finding a quick meal. Creperie just along the road was outstanding.
Just spent one night here after ferry journey. Hotel is fine. Rooms little tired. Clean but need some work for the prices charged. We were moved from our first room because we couldn't see how to work blinds (well couldn't see any blinds but apparently they were there). No need to move us really - someone could have just shown us the trick. Second room was larger but one bedside lamp for three beds. Basically nothing matches. Some might find this charming but it does rather look like someone has just been out to the local shop/market. Lovely garden out the back of hotel which has its own parking - a definite advantage. Near the beach but don't expect too much time on the balcony as main road is busy. Breakfast was nothing spectacular but ok. Staff were friendly. Overpriced for what it is. A pet hate is shower gel in dispenser. Think for these prices we should have something classier or at least know what it is. Amazing firework display on beach the night we were there which was an added bonus.

Great Staff but

The young lady who checked me in and that was so helpful really impressed me. The room was comfortable except there were no blackout curtains and the white lacey ones let too much light in when I wanted to sleep late or take a mid day nap. However avoid this small town it was a complete disappointment. BORING! Nothing to do. One night there was nowhere to eat at all.
