Surprisingly quiet in the middle of the busy part of the city.
We first explored the alleyway that leads to this hotel the night before we checked in and it was quite loud. We were concerned what it might be like in the room. But, it was pretty dang quiet. Noting, due to mosquitos and no nets on the windows, we did not ever open the windows. Luckily there is in room AC. They provide drinking water as much as you need and new bottles daily. The breakfast was great! Get the banana pancakes (very filling). Be warned, the banana milkshakes are more fit for a smoothie bowl, VERY thick. Laundry was very cheap - 30k/kg and finished by evening. Daytime hotel staff man was nice, but his English is not the best. I might have booked more tours via the hotel but I wasn’t clear on what I was or was not getting. We booked a trip to the cave through the hotel and paid in advance 200k per adult. My husband was not feeling well and didn’t go, no refund. Others on boat paid 170k. Room cleanliness was so so - you could see marks all over the walls where people have swatted mosquitos and killed them. We found a cockroach in the bathroom and took to covering the shower drain with provided “flip flop” - both to keep bugs coming up & to help with sewer gas smell which would come up.
WATCH THE HOT WATER! It’s SCALDING coming out, and I burned my arm out on the hot water pipe adjusting the shower temp touching it just for a moment with my forearm (now have a small scar). Overall, would stay again.
