"Quirkily excellent. On arrival it is not obviously a hotel since it says it is a retreat for ex services. But they do operate as an hotel, so that is the first step. Then you find it to be full of memorabilia for all branches of the service, good breakfast though not till 8am, no evening meals, but short walks bring you to good food."

A great place to stay in Lowestoft.

"A great place to stay in Lowestoft. Excellent value for money. We had the Deluxe room and it was worth every penny. Spacious, comfortable bed, super clean bathroom, tea and coffee. I am a well travelled person and this was super comfortable. The view was amazing, breakfast over the road and free on-road parking. Perfect. The hosts were super kind to make us comfortable with check in and out. A lovely visit to Lowestoft. "

Comfortable and welcoming

"B&B rather than a hotel, tastefully and artistically decorated throughout. Attention to detail in the comfortable and well facilitated en suite room. Big choice of freshly made breakfasts which you request from the night before. Mark and Derek are welcoming, helpful with local knowledge and keen to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The location is good for walking to nearby pubs, restaurants, shops and the sea. "

Two night stay at The Cliffe Hotel

"We recently stayed for two nights at The Cliffe Hotel in Lowestoft and were very pleased with our experience. The room, breakfast area, and communal spaces were all spotless and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was particularly spacious, clean, and tidy. Breakfast was cooked to order and of a high standard, with a good variety of options including cereal, porridge, and a hearty Full English. The service throughout was excellent, everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. A lovely place to stay and highly recommended."
