We absolutely loved our stay here! The staff was amazing and we loved the breakfast! The bed was sooo comfortable and the room was spacious and nice! Highly recommend and we will definitely stay here again in the future!
The Mansion is absolutely beautiful and very nicely restored. The breakfast is a true experience. Ours was served by the Owner and Caretaker and we had a great discussion during. I would recommend this to anyone. We will definitely be back for another stay.
Kathryn, our breakfast chef was excellent! Delicious breakfast, engaging conversation an d insightful suggestions of things to do in Louisville. We loved it!
The perfect combination of old-world charm and modern comforts. The owners have thought of every detail to create a lovely stay, and we loved arriving to a warm welcome of tea and cookies. The rooms are precious and cared for immaculately. May, the hostess and caretaker of the space, was so delightful! So caring of guests. The breakfast was exquisite, and served with love. Thank you, DuPont Mansion!
This is a lovely old home in an interesting area. Just a little bit on the edge of being uncomfortable to stay there. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly and helpful.
The property is great the neighborhood is rough but the building and all aspects of this bed and breakfast are great. I recommend a uber when leaving dont walk from this place we where basically attacked a block away.
We enjoyed our overnight stay. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was beyond amazing! It exceeded all expectations. The only thing that could have been better were the pillows.
It was like living a luxurious life a century ago, upscale and grand.
I love most meeting the other occupants for breakfast in the same table.
That was a treat to chit chat amongst them.
We already live in town, but stayed here for my wife's birthday weekend. Owners were amazing and breakfast was just as good. They were more than happy to answer questions about the historic property and Old Louisville. We plan to stay at Central Park B&B (their other property just a few doors down). We had a great time!
The bed and breakfast was a pure delight. Great experience. Delicious breakfast. Extremely clean and beautifully decorated with appropriate period furnishings. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a more quaint experience.
Stately, well cared for, and beautiful mansion. Dinner recommendation was spot on. The neighborhood of Old Louisville is an architectural treasure trove.
Meg and Melody were fantastic! Fun sharing stories about the mansion, and meeting others during breakfast - also appreciated the texts from Grace ahead of our stay with instructions on accessing the mansion, etc. Grace also recommended restaurants, and we had a magical evening at Buck's - Reggie played piano, Anthony greeted us warmly, reminisced about Buck (the prior owner), and shared a mutual admiration for Prince Rogers Nelson. Natalie was a dynamite server. Food and drinks were exceptional - thank you all for being a true highlight on our vacation!
Room was great. Bed was super comfortable and we stayed in the Carnegie room. It was convenient to whiskey row. The food annd service were excellent. The house had so much charm and character.
We were upgraded to a room at Central Park Bed and Breakfast with our permission; we were notified ahead of our stay of an a/c problem at Dupont Mansion. A welcome gift for our trouble was provided, even though it was only a block from our original destination. Beautiful room, amazing shower, and the specialty breakfast (included) was unique and wonderful. The hosts were pleasant and kind. Definitely recommend! The complimentary cookies weren't bad, either.
We really enjoyed our stay there. When we were there, there was a Holiday Home tour of nearby mansions. This one could have easily compared with those on the tour. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was a gourmet treat every day prepared by their chef. The location is surrounded by Victorian mansions, not downtown but close enough to everything. They also operate the Central Park B&B, in cast this one is booked.
We were in the Louisa May Alcott room. It was historical but with modern conveniences. Decorated throughout with beautiful furniture, the mansion has tall, heavy doors with ornate crown molding. A gourmet breakfast is served every morning. The innkeeper is very friendly and knowledgeable. Other historical homes are in the area for walking tours. Louisiana full of fun things to do, great food, and fantastic bourbon.
We had a quick one night getaway and booked the Deluxe King Suite. We were given the “DuPont” suite and it was a beautiful room with 12 foot ceilings and two fireplaces. The bathroom was huge and had double sinks. The entire property was lovely and furnished with unique pieces true to the era it was built in. I was particularly impressed with the ornately carved original marble fireplaces on the first floor. The service provided was amazing and we had a delicious gourmet breakfast before heading back home. This is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway and would highly recommend it. We will certainly be back!
