"Narrissa, the property manager was very responsive and helpful. The apartment was very clean, big and comfortable. We loved the pool, which we had to ourselves. There was also a jacuzzi, which was turned on for us whenever we wanted. There was a bakery about a 5 minute walk away and you could walk to town of Roseau and botanical gardens in 10-15 minutes. There was private, free parking on the property. Very good value for money."

"Burkey's place is beautiful, well stocked and relaxing! We went with two young kids, and we enjoyed the ability to wash our clothes and make dinner, while still being in a unique Jungle setting. Would definitely recommend, especially to a couple or two couples traveling together. "

"We stayed at the Banyan cottage and it was lovely. Up on a hill, very private. It had screens so no need to worry about bugs. The cooking area was nicely done so that you could cook breakfast easily. The property is gorgeous and you really feel like you're in the middle of the rainforest by yourself. Very relaxing. "Personal, friendly and welcoming staff. Our unit was spacious and private but needed screens in our windows. No air conditioning, so the need of fans and windows opened were necessary. Shuttle service to and from the airport need to be listed as an amenity for the property. The road to the property is precarious to say the least, and taxi cabs do not want to go the last 1/4 mile. "Overall we loved it, though it would have been good to know that you can't drive to the hotel if you don't have a proper 4WD as it is located at the end of a long and steep tarished road. Luckily the hotel offers an transport service for the dirty road between 8am and 5pm. They also offer food(preorder only) and drinks at the bar. The staff was very nice and always helpful. "Even though I stayed one night, it was an amazing night. From check in, dinner at the bar, pool having an amazing few of the ocean & cruise ship leaving. The water in the shower gets hot hot (I love it), beds are firm but the pillows are soft. I stayed after the carnival season, but will book again just for a regular vacation because how stunning the property is, how helpful & friendly the staff are & how close it is for me to walk to town. Best part of this stay was a shuttle to the airport. The drive is long & I got motion sickness from it even though I ate. The drivers are super nice though & helped me get cleaned up."

"The property was superb. It consists of 6 separate air conditioned cottages with ample space. Excellent dining on sight. Nice swimming pool and ocean views. Alicia is the owner and she was extremely helpful in terms of recommendations, making reservations, etc.. When Alicia was not available her associate Sheldon filled in. The staff was top notch. The downside of Dominica is the poor roads and infrastructure. We rented a car and found driving on the narrow serpentine roads stressful. Maybe it was being 73 years old and not used to driving on the L hand side. But whatever the reason, one must take driving into account when planning a vacation to Dominica."
