I stayed in the Tower room and it was amazing! Has a bathtub in the room, so it was perfect for a self pamper night. Really like the vintage vibe and the spiral staircase. All the rooms are different so I'd love to keep going back and try different rooms!

Horrible, we immediately moved out. Absolute misrepresentation, this is not a hotel. This is a house with rented rooms, shared bathrooms, and plywood separating rooms. You can hear everything. They use black bed sheets to cover for any dirt, something I have never seen before, simply disgusting. There's no staff at the property at all, you need to find your keys and open yourself. You can hear all the noise from the outside. What a nightmare, we stayed there for 20 mins and left, we were misguided, this shouldn't be named a hotel, not even an airbnb, this is the worst case I have ever seen. Horrible.

First, I want to say that I would recommend this location but there are a few pros/cons to consider before you book:
PROS: the location is close to many great LA spots. The interior is really unique and very clean.
CONS: There is no staff on site. The walls are thin; you can hear neighboring rooms. The sheets and towels are black; I REALLY prefer white because they can be bleached. Our room came with a little fan and a heater….which makes me suspicious about the central heat/cool system. I was there during a temperate time of year and fortunately didn’t need either.

We did love the property itself, it’s very unique and cozy. The area itself is fairly decent as well, though close by hospitals and therefore loud with the sounds of sirens. The walls are very thin, so you tend to hear all the sounds from the street and from the other tenants. I think that was the worst thing, the other tenants. We had three other people book the upstairs room while we stayed, and they went from bad to worse. The first came in super late and were very loud, we shared a metal spiral staircase, and we heard every loud step and suitcase banging on the stairs and the wall as they made their way up to the room. They also left their things in the bathroom, which was small anyway so space was limited. Not the best, but bearable. The second guests were two men, who were super loud and SLAMMED the cabinets so many times that eventually I had to ask them to keep it down. No reason to slam anything, especially in a place that is not yours. The third seemed nice, but I guess they did not realize they shared the kitchen with us and left their stuff EVERYWHERE. I know the actions of these guests cannot be controlled by the establishment, of course. I say all this to say that maybe signage reminders would be beneficial, because they did not seem to read the email with the courtesy do’s and don’t’s. But I would definitely stay there again, it really is a comfortable and quirky space overall.

This property is on three levels which are connected by two narrow spiral staircases. Furnishings are old and moldy
