We had such a fantastic day at the Surestay. Ms. Joy at the front desk lives up to her name. She made sure we were comfortable and, although I hadn’t reserved an accessible room, she made sure that I had one that was safe for me. My husband and I came for one night, prior to surgery and were very pleased with the hotel.
We easily walked over to Fairfax and had dinner at Canter‘s deli. We were also able to walk to the Grove and enjoy the shopping and of course some ice cream.
The hotel is very clean. It is dated, and could use a little elbow grease, but for the price, we absolutely will stay there again. Parking is limited, but we did not have any difficulty finding a spot. If you’re looking for safe, clean, and comfortable – this is your place.

Breakfast could be a little better. Maybe fresh bagels and cream cheese.

Made a reservation for a room with 2 beds. Got a call the morning of the reservation saying that my room was not available and that they could give me a room with 1 bed for only a partial refund of 20 dollars. For four people in my group, that was not enough room to sleep so I requested a larger refund or other accommodation but they were reluctant to offer much for our group. Overall, would not recommend this hotel as they were unreliable and unwilling to accommodate for their wrongdoings.

This hotel was close to my next days appointment and we were able to walk to dinner and breakfast and back.
