Not happy over being told at check in that I’d have to pay $12 for parking after limping in from the far reaches of the parking lot then being asked to go back out and place a parking permit in the car. Upon reaching the room I noticed several bottles of water with a note that they were available for $3.50 each. Seems pretty cheesy for an otherwise nice hotel.

Good Afternoon David, It does state on the website at the bottom of the page our hotel does have a parking charge. I apologize if that wasn't communicated efficiently, we will communicate with expedia about adding it to the top of the page.

I was eaten by bed bugs during my stay at the Hyatt Regency Westlake.
After switching rooms following the first night due to noise issues, I was placed in a nearby room on the 3rd floor. Apart from minor inconveniences, such as there being no soap/body wash in the bathroom, the room seemed fine enough until I woke up to a bed bug crawling right next to my face.
Confused, I popped out of bed to get a better look. Sure enough I saw several beg bugs on my pillow and bedspread. Even worse, I saw my blood smeared across the sheets and on the parts of my body where the critters had feasted (mostly face and legs). I'm not generally a squeamish person but this was a truly disgusting/skin-crawling experience, which did not put me in a great headspace for the business meetings I had planned for that day.
I quickly raised this issue with the hotel. I first spoke with someone at reception. This gentleman was shockingly unsympathetic and seemed to brush off my concerns. Unsatisfied, I next spoke with the director of hotel operations. He seemed more concerned, and after hearing about my experience, promised to follow up with me. However, it's now several days later and I have not heard anything from hotel staff or anyone else on behalf of the Hyatt organization.
I can safely say that I will never step foot in a Hyatt again, which is particularly disappointing because I paid a premium to stay in what should have been a great hotel, free of blood-sucking pests.

Nice gym, good restaurant for breakfast, close to shopping mall, quiet and comfortable rooms.
