Highly disappointing
For the price, the quality should be much, much higher at this hotel. We had problems from the minute we arrived in our bungalow. The shower was stuck on one lukewarm temperature and couldn't be adjusted. No minibar, but there was a refrigerator to keep our water and other drinks cold. However, it was broken too. There were no cushions on the chairs in the private outdoor area of our bungalow, so we couldn't use them. One morning we ordered room service for breakfast. We were told it would be 20-25 minutes. After 90 minutes, we had to call and cancel because it was time to leave for the day...without breakfast. The bungalow was dark and decor was average. Tried to use the "business center" (a single old computer next to the check-in desk) but the printer had no ink, so we couldn't print. Throughout the hotel, you'll notice how dated and faded it is.
We stayed in a bungalow for six nights and then needed to extend our trip. Since the bungalow was such a poor value, we moved to a room in the tower. So much worse! Hilariously, the cheaper rooms have scratchy sheets and lumpy pillows. It felt like being in the steerage cabin, even though we were still paying over $700 per night. The tower rooms are severely dated and shabby.
The hotel's one saving grace are the staff — almost all of them were very nice.
