As a pet friendly hotel, wish there was more area to walk the dog.

This appeared to be a fairly new property or recently remodeled. Clean. Quiet Staff was friendly. The ice machine on our floor was not working but there was another machine. Breakfast options were good.

This property is not that old and was our favorite for visiting our child at LeTourneau University for the last three years. The property has gradually declined. This weekend the smell of smoke in the entrance is noticeable. We did not even take a step inside the first room they gave us because the smell of smoke was so bad. The second room had a hint of a smoky smell but we just dealt with it. Needless to say, this is our last stay at this property. Unfortunate because it is a great location and the hotel is supposed to be smoke free. Last time we stayed here the elevators smelled terrible (smoky) just from other customers using them. Apparently a lot of the customers are company field workers who smoke a lot! If you smoke you won't have an issue. If you are sensitive to smoke, choose somewhere else.

Paid for suite. Got studio. Manager made no effor

Week one, paid for a studio room. Very nice as was expected. Week two paid extra to upgrade to the suite. Arrive at the hotel and it’s the same room. I call the front desk and tell them that they put me in a studio, and I paid for the suite. Front desk informs me they don’t have a suite. I said no problem, refund me the difference I paid for the larger room. She referred me to the manager Who I spoke with the next day. He basically rolled his eyes and said there is nothing he could do. Made “0”ZERO effort to try and fix this. Wouldn’t even make a phone call. Told me to deal with hotels.com because it wasn’t his fault that this hotel doesn’t have a suite.

We were traveling and made our reservation via Travelocity. Thank heaven we did that because when we arrived at 1am there was a line at the front desk with people checking in. One young kid at the front desk doing his best. Not sure if management didn't expect to be this busy at 1am but he was struggling. Poor planning on management. Sss as me with check out the next morning. Only one person at the front desk. Line of people checking out. Otherwise it served its purpose for us, a bed to sleep in.
