Hotel is situated in a great location. Easy access to the tube, bar, and shopping. Hotel is average but I would definitely come back for the location.

Located in the theater district.

Posted 10 Aug 2015
Pros: The breakfast was very good.
Location: In the theater district.
OK. Stay away from the 'old' section of the hotel. Be advised King size does not mean 'king' size. However, the bad is nearly a queen size bed. A true king size bed would not fit in the room.

Old, Dated and Stiflingly Hot - Good Location

Posted 3 Aug 2015
Pros: Location, very friendly staff.
Cons: More comfortable beds, fridges in rooms and air conditioning.
Location: Fabulous location, tube within walking distance, all theatres within walking distance very central, great pubs and shops.
Upon arrival, we were told we had a double room booked, I showed them my booking confirmation which clearly confirmed a family room for 2 Adults, 1 Child. The booking references were different, but the lady was lovely and spent 10-15 mins sorting us out. Having been sorted out, we were disappointed to find out we were not in the hotel we thought, when we booked we thought we were in the Travelodge advertised, which was a twin tower building on Drury Lane, however they also have another Travelodge across the street on High Holborn Road, this is where we were situated in a Family room on floor 12 (of 13). The room was very clean, but there was no fridge and it was absolutely unbearably hot, my poor 8 year old was boiling to touch, we spent 20 mins looking for the aircon before realising it had none............ This totally ruined our stay we literally couldn't bare to be in the room it was like a greenhouse. The beds were very very hard, could have coped with that had it not been so hot.

Hotel close to Covent Garden

Posted 24 Jul 2015
Location fairly quiet. Three Underground stations in near location but quite a walk to hotel particularly if carrying luggage. Central for Covent Garden, Soho and Oxford St. Hotel recently refurbished. Room comfortable but basic. Would benefit from air conditioning. Hotel restaurant not used but appeared to be used by many guests.

Clean room - no air conditioning.

Posted 11 Jul 2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Add air conditioning to the rooms.
Location: (Walking times) Piccadilly Circus and Convent Garden (10 minutes), lots of theaters, the Thames River (20 minutes), London Eye (30 minutes)
The good is that the room was clean, the hotel was walking distance to many of central London's attractions (Piccadilly Circus, the Thames River, London Eye), and inexpensive. Kids eat free for an all you can eat breakfast was also a deal and the breakfast was filling. The bad, and this is big for summer months, there is no air conditioning. There is a notice in the room about keeping the curtains closed during the day and opening the window at night to cool the room down. It was 82 while we were in London and we found the room to be uncomfortably warm. The day after we left the temperature rose to 92. I could not imagine being in the room. Also the vending machines were empty and ATM didn't work. Finally, unless you pay for it ahead of time, there is no early check in (they are firm on this point) and you cannot drop off your luggage early while you are waiting for check in.

Good location. Basic but clean.

Posted 15 Jun 2015
The room was basic but clean, and the bed comfortable. No nice extras but you don't expect that for Travelodge prices. Some noise from outside, but that's hard to avoid in central London. Staff seemed to struggle taking names and reference numbers!

just a little too functional

Posted 30 May 2015
Pros: it's location
Cons: Caring facilities
Booked 1 night in this hotel just as was making a quick visit to London to go to The Royal Opera I wasn't expecting luxury but overall the hotel reminded me of a tarted up back packer hotel it was clean and not uncomfortable but was quite frankly a little Spartan and some aspects were a tad shabby in places the real negative point was that there was a great deal made of the availability of late check out (12 noon) so I thought great! Lie in and a late breakfast before heading home. discovered at 10:30 next morning on arriving for breakfast that the cafe/ bar closes at 10:00! nowhere was this pointed out to us all in all fairly lacklustre customer service from a less than impressive hotel.
