This was my second time at The Selwyn and I’ll definitely be back! Beautiful hotel, well-appointed quiet room, great night’s sleep, and walkable to all of Richmond’s highlights.

Gorgeous, high end hotel. Great amenities, easy walk to downtown and the beautiful town common. Richmond was a wonderful place to visit with our teen girls from the US. There was some noise audible in the room from doors closing in the hallway, and light came in under the door and from the window overnight. Bed was very comfortable though!

Apart from the light disturbance and hallway nuisance that, are happenings. We try to keep the place quiet and discrete as much as we can or it's possible varying from day to day. A great decorative work was carried and still undergoes from time to time, in this ex Guest House, clearly aesthetically flipped upside down to a way higher standard now. The lobby and dining area are very nice. However the rooms are tiny, so small there wasn't enough room for our luggage or to walk around the bed. The bathroom was also tiny with no counter space. Shower was too small for a normal sized person so I have no idea how a larger person would fit in the bathroom. I would not recommend this hotel.

You would have been welcome to inform us of Your disappointment with the room size and if possible from availability We would have managed to sort You our in a more spacious Cabin Room type, as this instance occurs at times and rooms vary in size even if cabin type, that was booked. We are here to help and make Guests' stay a pleasant experience. So We Welcome You to give a future chance. Goes said, that this is an old built building, not from this century and when it was indeed built, spaces size standards weren't our nowadays ones. Situation is similar even for Houses. The hotel is very welcoming and everyone is friendly and willing to help. The location is perfect and just a few mins away from the town. The room was clean and cozy and I would definitely stay here again! Thank you for a wonderful time!
