For the price, the initial room allocated had little usable floor space being on three levels connected by steep, narrow stairs - highly inconvenient with any amount of luggage. Only after two nights could we finally switch to a usable room. The dining facilities were very limited and of low quality. The common areas were very restricted and not very welcoming. When called away, the receptionist locked the main exit, leaving a number to call, a dubious set up from a fire safety point of view as the only obvious, non-alarmed egress from the hotel. If there are concerns about an unmanned reception in this neighbourhood, the hotel should install an electronic unlock switch internally and an swipe card pad externally allowing guests to exit and enter the premises securely when the porter/receptionist is away. Overall not great value for money as the amenities outside the (second) nicely appointed room were very limited indeed.

A nice hotel close to Canary Wharf, breakfast was ok but rooms were beautiful and all staff lovely. I would definately stay here again when in the area.

The front desk staff were incredibly rude after they downgraded our room but made us pay more for the stay. The “Apr” downstairs smelled like someone was dead in the back.
