Never use this hotel.

Posted 11 Jul 2019 on Hotels
Never ever use this hotel. This hotel is a ghost hotel and terrible. If you reserve this hotel, you will feel real hell. If you see my message, you are lucky. Never ever use this hotel.

Long story, short - Property manager claimed she didn't have our reservation and refused to let us stay there. Long story, long - She showed up when called and by the time she arrived there were three groups of people waiting to check in. One group she allowed. Us and another couple were told she didn't have our reservations. She might find a room for the other couple, but for us (with our 4 kids), she'd have to do something else. While she tended the other 2 bookings, another lady and her son arrived. They'd reserved a room at the Chelsea property, but were dismayed by its filth and refused to stay there. The owner (who owns both properties), sent them to stay at the Hammersmith. After arguing with the manager, the lady was given a room. Then the manager turns to us and tells us she has an empty room at Chelsea that she can give us. She gave sketchy directions (just hop off the bus, you can't miss it), refused to give us an address, and when asked if there was someone there to help us, told us to call when we got there and someone would be there soon. Being exhausted after an overseas flight with the prospect of traveling to another location with our luggage and four kids, and knowing the other lady's critique of the Chelsea apartment, we gave up and booked an apartment on AirBnB where we received excellent care and a nice room. We can't help but think this is the business model of this property. The whole "we don't have your reservation" was certainly a lie, as they didn

Worst Hotel Experience of My Life

Posted 28 Apr 2019 on Hotels
We arrived at the hotel entrance – which was unmarked and sandwiched between two other businesses, making it difficult to spot – with no instructions on how to enter. We called the number provided with the booking confirmation… no answer. Eventually a woman let us in, apparently much to her annoyance, and told us she had no record of our booking. Amazingly, she seemed to be blaming us for that. The woman disappeared for a while before returning to take us to our room, which looked nothing like the one pictured; this was drabber, less tidy and generally in far worse condition. The ‘canal view’ we were promised was actually a small view of an alleyway, while the other window had litter wedged up against the outside of it. The WiFi didn’t work, and when we asked the member of staff about it, she rudely informed us that she didn’t have time to fix the problem and that she ‘wasn’t an engineer’ anyway. Furthermore, the bed was uneven and uncomfortable, probably broken, and there were no towels provided – not even a hand towel in the shared bathroom, which also lacked a mirror… We were treated with no respect or courtesy and were misled about the room, its view and the WiFi. This was, by some distance, the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Yes, it was cheap, but you don’t have to spend much more to stay at a hotel that delivers on its promises, offers basic amenities and treats its guests like, well, guests.

It is great for what you pay. The unit looked clean, smelled clean & had clean bed linens & a generous sized fridge for bottled water & other perishables. The shared bathroom had a tub/shower & there was plenty of toilet paper both in the bathroom & in the room itself. There was little noise & I was able to sleep soundly. There were no towels in the room & there was no soap/shampoo/body wash so I had to provide these myself. Also, there was only one other bathroom on another floor that was shared but was missing its toilet, which could make needing to use the toilet frustrating if the bathroom with the working toilet was occupied. It was a 10 minute walk to the nearest Starbucks & a 10-15 minute walk to the West Kensington Tube station on the District line, which made getting around London easy.

Had an extremely difficult time trying to contact the host to get the check in information. Texted him/her a lot of times and got half replied or blue ticked. Check in time was 4pm, but only got the information of self check arnd 5-6pm? And that is after I sought help from Hotels.com! What if I didn’t know how to contact them?? I will have no accoms at all!? Location is pretty good nonetheless, zone 2 I think. Room is normal, not super clean but ok.

Not grand but mattress and location were good

Posted 16 Dec 2018 on Hotels
We were outside for half an hour waiting for the guy to open the door, trying to get in contact with the “hotel”. After we were let in it was all fine. Nothing special or extra, except the mattress being great. It’s nice and clean, sounded like it’s being cleaned every day. Location is convenient
