You get what you pay for!
Posted 26 Dec 2018 on HotelsThis is a bit of a strange place. The picture DO NOT represent the room I had which was in the basement. It was very dated and need of modernisation. Whilst there was a microwave and fridge there was no tea and coffee making and not even a glass or anything for water. Breakfast doesn’t start until 8 yhoug a slightly earlier start was offered at 7.45. I am not sure whether I was a little paranoid or not but it felt as though my comings and going’s were observed as on one occasions I was met at the top of the stairs on MH arrival back! Just all a bit strange!

Thank you for your review. Perhaps Pickwick Hall seemed strange to you because Pickwick Hall is not the type of hotel in which you usually stay. The photos of the room are of precisely the room where you stayed. We are a hostel and as such do not provide all the room service of a hotel (no tea and coffee in the room); instead we provide a microwave and fridge in the bedroom and guest cooking facilities in the dining room - particularly valued by people who stay a few days or week. I cannot tell who you saw on the stairs, staff or guest.

la posizione eccezionale, la signora dell'accoglienza gentile, possibilità di lasciare i bagagli prima del check-in e dopo il check -out.
La struttura e le camere un po' vecchiotte, tutto poco curato, la pulizia migliorabile.
La mattina non c'era posto per la colazione, ma non è stato un problema l'abbiamo fatta fuori.

La posizione di Pickwick Hall è ideale per quasi tutti i nostri visitatori sia perché è nel centro di Londra, a pochi passi da molte delle attrazioni e perché è abbastanza tranquilla, in particolare sul retro che si affaccia sui giardini. Il nostro addetto alla reception è felice di averti aiutato. Questo edificio ha oltre 200 anni e cerchiamo di mantenere il suo carattere equilibrato con la ristrutturazione. Mi dispiace che tu abbia trovato la pulizia che ha bisogno di miglioramenti; La sala per la colazione di tanto in tanto si affollerà e aiutiamo gli ospiti a fare colazione nel Salotto accanto alla Sala Colazione.
