Have stayed here 4 times over the last 20 years and the service has always been excellent. The location is also fantastic. It could use a little updating though.

WE GOT ELECTROCUTED FROM SHOWER KNOBS!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL IT’S A DEATH TRAP! My wife and I got electrocuted as we turned on water before going in shower. They promised it was fixed but it wasn’t. THE MAINTENANCE MAN used an electric sensor and it showed electricity in shower - TWO TIMES!!!! Then they moved us to a different room and denied what happened. Manager there is SO INCOMPETENT!!! Her excuse for not addressing the situation was bcs she was busy with Halloween. Front desk staff was great. They confirmed that being electrocuted was unacceptable and manager will reach out. She was extremely INCOMPETENT.

Dear Mr. Hesham, I am truly saddened that despite all the efforts my team and I made to ensure your stay was satisfactory, we were unable to meet your expectations. You reported you felt electrical shock when you touched the shower knobs. Given the seriousness of your concern, we decommissioned the room and called an independent certified electrician to inspect the room. His report was clear, there is no electricity running in the shower knobs.We upgraded you to a deluxe room and we ensured that all your requests were accommodated without any additional costs, in an effort to make your experience as comfortable and satisfying as possible.As per our conversation, the electric shock was surprising because we had never received a similar complaint in that room before or after you departed. I want to emphasize that the safety of our guests is our top priority, and we work every day to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable, just like at home. It deeply saddens me that despite our efforts, it was not enough in your case. I sincerely hope that, in the future, you will give us another opportunity to change your perception. Our commitment is to provide memorable experiences, and it would be an honour to have the chance to prove that to you. Wishing you all the best in your future travels.Laura Sanchez

Staff is very professional. Great hotel with an old world feel - without compromising on the perks of modern amenities. Located in a posh and safe area. It is 3 minutes from the underground. The rooms are bigger than most in the area. Free snacks, water, coffee and tea in your room. Bonus - they have a fridge. This is my go to hotel in London. This is not for those looking for a modern “American” hotel. This is a period hotel that feels like a big hug.

Very comfortable. Comfy bed. Quiet. Breakfast finished at 10 am we went down at 9.40 and felt very rushed. At 10.00 although we were still eating all juice, yoghurt, danish pastries etc were removed. Found this disappointing and rude. Otherwise everything else was fine.
