Far away from it all
Posted 31 Oct 2020 on HotelsFantastic lodge with everything you would need for an away from it all break. Hotels.com site did say it had a washer dryer which is inaccurate however not a big issue. Views are amazing and with it being so remote the night stars show bright at night.

Flawless. This was my second time here. And it is still as excellent as it was. Super clean and thorough checks done given current restrictions, but this didn’t have any negative feeling on out holiday.
New sofa in shore is really comfy too. Excellent escape and retreat from the world.

We stayed in Shore Cottage. It is really well equipped with everything you would need for a short or long stay. The bed was comfy, the bath is huge and the living area is cozy. The scenery is beautiful and the having the garden and rocky beach on our doorstep was perfect for our toddler. You can walk to Craobh Haven with only a small portion on the main road. There is a bar/restaurant, coffee shop and very small village store. I would recommend stocking up on supplies before you arrive (Lochgilphead or Oban). There is no WiFi but we had good 4G coverage with O2.
The only downside was being asked to check in after 6pm (different to what is on the website) due to increased cleaning. We made a day of travelling up but did get there with a grumpy toddler.

Great cottage, great location, amazing views.
Only thing that could be improved are the sofa and chairs which are a bit old and uncomfortable. But this is a very minor point.

Thanks for your kind review. We are conscious of the sofa and maybe to concerned with being dog friendly so looking for a replacement. Do come back sometime. Aye, Colin
