"Stayed in one of their apartments with a family of four plus two dogs. Check in was simple at the main hotel reception. The apartments are located a short drive away from the main hotel and overlook the town, but easy to find and access. "The manager/owner was very friendly and walked us through the whole place and its facilities. Has ample space to cook food and relax and even do your laundry. Seems well suited for "backpacking through scotland" type trips and also longer stays. Also has a box of kids toys in the lounge which occupied my boy for a good while."

"Amazing spot along Loch Leven in Scotland. I stayed here just a night on the road from Loch Lomond into the Highlands. This spot feels historic, without a doubt. There are sitting rooms with gorgeous decor, a wonderfully friendly staff, and a great restaurant. "Room was large, very comfortable and clean. Check in and check out was very fast annd efficient. Our room faced the street and we could hear vehicles driving by during the night. Other rooms not facing the road might be quieter. No restaurants or food service on the property and it’s a bit of a walk to the restaurants. "

"Incredibly beautiful property. Appears to be recently renovated as everything was updated and gorgeous. The staff were very kind and helpful. Recommendation was made for a restaurant: Roam West, which is just up the road. Don’t look anywhere else for dinner. I had the best steamed mussels of anywhere I’ve eaten and my wife had an incredible fish and chips. This house is wonderful, just a short drive from Fort Mason"

"We were in the riverside lodge and although the lodge was lovely it lacked privacy as the hot tub and decking area was fully visible to people walking past from the nearby bridge, passersby could see right in to the accommodation. The lodge probably wasn’t worth the total amount of money we spent but it is a beautiful setting. The lodges are marketed as luxury, but we wouldn’t class the ‘level’ of luxury as commensurate to the price - the breakfast was pleasant but basic and the shower/toilet...
