The check in was in the middle of the restaurant area and very hard to find. I stayed 4 nights and it was on the 3rd day I could walk into the right door and find the lift without too much trouble. There is no signage for the front door, no direction to the reception desk, and no tourist information. I would not recommend this as my choice to stay in Locarno.

We were just one night. The hotel is good located, very close to the lake in the centre of Locarno. Friendly staff. The cinema rooms are nice and functional, great shower as well.

Freundliches und schönes Hotel
Die Mitarbeiter an der Reception waren freundlich, unkompliziert und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war schön, modern, ruhig, praktisch und bequem. Habe sehr gut geschlafen. Die Lage ist genial und sehr zentral. Alles ist zu Fuss erreichbar. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis fand ich auch gut. Einziger Nachteil: Der Wasserdruck der Duschbrause war relativ schwach und das Wasser in der Dusche lief zu langsam ab. Ansonsten habe ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Komme gerne wieder.

Modern comfortable and good location
The location is on residential area of Locarno but easy walk to lake or train station. Not much stores nearby. Room is small as most ibis hotels but this bathroom is roomy and bright. Glad with A/C in room and elevator for luggage!

Feeling taken care of
You feel the social distance these days when you travel. That is not the mistake of the staff, indeed, I prefer the safety from proper implementation of measures over the atmosphere. Breakfast is a bit limited and needs some flexibility given the situation but you could feel that they do everything to make you feel comfortable.

enjoyable stay in Locarno.
Hotel aimed more at business travel but for our one night perfectly acceptable .Good location close to train station, lake and town centre. Air conditioning bonus as exceptionally hot and not always found in Swiss hotels. Hotel had every thing we needed and good breakfast. Overall good value for money.

The location is excellent, 2 blocks from lake, short walk from train station, 10 min. It is so easy to get to Bellinzona, Lugano. From Lugano, take boat to Gandria, all doable in a day trip. You can take bus from Locarno to Ascona in nearby bus station. The breakfast was good. I would suggest my friends to choose the hotel.

This hotel is located very central in town and not too far away from train station. Comfort was of good standard (Ibis).

Issue with parking
We only stayed one night but the reason we selected this hotel was because if offered parking. Well, they do have a parking garage but the space is very limited and when we got there ate around 6 pm, there was no more spots available. The instruction from the hotel was to find a space around the hotel until 8 am the next morning but we had to move the card before 8am an find another spot. We were tired and very disappointed that we had to worry about this . The rest of the our stay was OK. Small but clean room. Very good breakfast.

Typical Ibis.
Usual Ibis room with minimalist furniture, built in shelves, a small corner hanging rod, built in writing surface, chair and bench. Bed OK. Bathroom OK. Had planned to get small breakfast out so did not buy in advance, but we did not find any nearby cafes or bakeries, so we bought the breakfast buffet. It was OK--not as extensive as in our previous hotels, so we were spoiled. We did eat dinner down the street in the restaurant at the City Hotel. There was a good menu of the day special. Staff was nice.
