Llevant Beach is a narrow stretch at the northern tip of Formentera Island with golden sand and a range of amenities. Backing onto this picturesque strand are varied restaurants, bars and watersports rental operators. Rent a deckchair and umbrella for your time sunbathing on this tranquil beach.
Put together a picnic to enjoy on this sandy strip and relax with your family in the shade of an umbrella while listening to the relaxing sound of waves lapping the sandy shore. For exercise, play beach games with your friends. You may enjoy walking the entire length of the beach, which extends 4,757 feet (1,450 meters).
Appreciate the serenity of this beach, which is a quieter alternative to the adjacent Illetes Beach. Walk out into the shallow parts of the warm and clear water with your kids. Wear snorkeling gear to get a glimpse of the fish swimming below you. At times, the wind is fairly strong around this bay, provoking larger waves.
Head inland and let your children clamber up and down the remote sand dunes marking the western end of the beach. Try the range of seafood and other culinary delights at the restaurant at the rear of the beach. Here, you can eat against a scenic backdrop of sand and sea. Linger into the evening and enjoy cocktails at some of the open-air bars.
Note that the beach is free to access. Arrive early to appreciate the beach at its most tranquil moment. Parts of the area are designated for use by nudists.
Llevant Beach lies along the eastern side of a thin strip of land running north from Formentera Island. Drive north from the town of Sant Francesc Xavier for about 15 minutes to get here. While on this part of the islet, stop at Illetes Beach, the Illa des Forn and the Salines d’en Marroig.
