Uncomfortable stay

The room had a damp stale smell. The sheets were clean but the rest of the bed furniture looked dirty. The whole room was shabby. The mug and spoon on the tray was dirt. The towels looked clean but had a damp feel.
I wanted to leave but had paid quite a lot of money as I wanted to be comfortable.
The website indicated there was gym & pool facilities which turned out to be access to a local gym, pool with a pass.

Dear Mena, let me correct you we are not a hotel, you did not mention anything to us we could have moved you to a different room I cannot comment on what you say as that room had people in prior to you staying, we would of gladly changed the towels if that was the case but again you did not mention anything to us even though in our information spiel we alway stress "if you are not happy with anything Please Please let us know we are only human and mistakes can be made and give us opprtunity to rectify things if something has gone wrong"With regard to the pool under the heading of "About this property" it says clearly access to a nearby indoor pool and access to a nearby health club" We try are best to be as transparent as posible, but we have little control how our Guest House is portrayed on OTA's. We encourage all guests booking through a OTA to read all the relebvant information before you book and if in doubt ring us up to clarify anything if you have questions.

We had a very lovely stay here whilst we were in town for a wedding. I feel that the owners went out of their way to make our stay more comfortable and easier. Breakfast was great and the room was very comfortable!

Good cleanliness..parking facilities..liked the fridge in the lounge..The toilet shower on second was good, liked the room, tv, kettle etc.

Not sure why you have given 6 out of 10 as you did not say that you were disappointed with anything on the contrary you were very positive with your comments to us at the time
