Great stay
Great overnight stay. The room was immaculate, the bed was extremely comfy, pillows were perfect, and the AC was fab. We had a terrace from our room so we were able to sit outside. Dinner and breakfast were delicious - perfectly cooked and service is friendly. Couldn't have asked for more.

Short stay
One night stay with an early start. It has only been open for a few weeks after a full refurbishment. Staff are friendly and helpful, with the management looking for feedback on what can be improved. A quiet night (midweek stay), with the pub bar closing at 10.30pm.

Had a lovely time. Stayed on the 10th and 11th of aug. Special thanks to the staff for offering excellent services. Especially Luca the general manager of black horse who is also the owner of this place, who accommodated us 3 hours prior to our check in with no additional cost. Was very touched by this. Food was awesome. Room was spacious with TV and aircon. Very peaceful and quite. The beach was 10 minutes walk. Many thanks to Robertson who worked his shift until midnight and was back to work at 6am to serve us breakfast. I highly recommend this place to anyone travelling to Littlehampton. Susana Pinto

Quite a modern feel to this pub, but very homely with a cosy, spacious, lounge bar and large separate dining room. Obviously recently renovated with a modern feel to the upstairs rooms. Very quiet and comfortable rooms with modern bathrooms and fittings. The child-safe windows can be fully opened if need be a fitted key lock. Security access to all the rooms is good with key entry only. My only little moan would be no shaver points in bathroom. Quite important due to most people having electric toothbrushes, etc. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Great choice of options on bedroom TV with Netflix, YouTube, etc. probably games for children. Bright, airy room. No wardrobe but some hanging space. No fridge, but tea-making facilities. NO BISCUITS (LOL). The staff are very pleasant and attentive. Food is good. Not overly impressed with the cooked breakfast… Would definitely stay there again. Quite a nice stroll down to the beach, but don’t expect much once you’re there. Like a landfill area to be honest. There is a small shack selling ice-cream and snacks and tea/coffee I imagine.
