Loved the hotel and the fact that you could use the amenities at the boutique hotel too. The service was absolutely excellent really really good and overall we just loved it and hope to come back again at some point in the future. The only 2 things I would say that could be improved are lights on the balconies (we noticed there were lights on the Boutique hotel balconies) this would’ve been good to just read on the balcony in the late evening and also some kind of in hotel supermarket would have been handy. Both very very minor points as we (2 adults and 2 children had a great time!)

Our room had a large ant infestation. Reported to the front desk which they took care of it immediately. Staff was attentive. Breakfast buffet had a good variety of food options.

I would highly recommend this resort and the staff was very helpful. The view of the golf course is beautiful and the golf course is outstanding! The resort location is convenient to the town of Cascias, the ocean, marina and many beautiful attractions.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. A few things that could be better: 1. We had to ask for our complimentary wine. Which was still not provided until we asked the second time. This is very embarrassing. It’s not about the wine, it’s about the principle. 2. The sink was clogged. We requested maintenance to have a look. Not sure if they did the first time. But we had to request again the second time which was then sorted. 3. The AC in our room was not working! 4. Minor issue but complimentary drinking water was only provided on day one. All other hotels always provide a bottle a day. 5. I had a charge on my final bill of Resort Fees. I have no idea what this is and it was charged multiple days. If I hadn’t checked my bill which I don’t usually do, I’d have paid for a service I have not used. One would not expect such mistakes from a 5 star hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and Bruno was very kind and helpful.

Great staff, clean and convenient. Has a small gym at a sister property, but it closes at 7 pm (which is way too early for me). Pool was super hot, everything around it paved over with limited shade, and overrun with young children.

Friendly staff, quiet area, adjacent to golf course. Recent renumbering of the course meant that tee #1 was no longer adjacent to he hotel. The driving range was a short walk but the clubhouse and first tee were better accessed by car if carrying clubs.

Great pool and kids area at sister property. Enjoyed the free access to amenities at both locations. Service at restaurants was poor. They seemed to be short staffed so we waited over an hour for our meal.

Beautiful property with many amenities and sports. It is a great 4 star hotel. But it does not meet any of the standards of a 5 star hotel, which it claims to be. Great service, but not extremely attentive. And the food was a huge disappointment. Very bland food.

Small details to make it a really special stay

We've been lucky to stay in style really nice resort hotels in the last few years, but since just get the little details right, which separate them from the rest. That was definitely true with Onyria. Things like the wine in the room being their own selected blend from one of the best wine houses, the fact that the receptionists had just that little bit more time for the guests, or that the barman, when we went for a digestive knew his whisky and gave me mine in the perfect glass. These little details make all the difference and I'd absolutely recommend this place.

Positives: Beautiful hotel in a relaxing environment, great location for those looking to have a base to explore, play golf or even just relax by the pool or the nearby beaches. Some fantastic cocktails at the hotel bar (both alcoholic and non alcoholic) for a decent price! In the evening, there is a fantastic pianist accompanying your dinner or drinks playing several sets. Areas for improvement: We enquired about all inclusive options and upgrades, however, the staff didn't seem to know anything about these? Odd. Would recommend having a car or being prepared to get an Uber/taxi to Cascais or other local areas for dinners most evenings as the hotel food prices are quite ridiculous for the every day event, with desserts clocking in at over 12 Euros a piece. Bottled water is a rip off here, 4.5 Euros a litre, shop at the local minimarket 5 mins around the corner... Total lack of evening entertainment other than the afformentioned pianist. Overall a pleasant experience, however, room for improvement on the evening entertainment and dinner offerings.
