Upon arrival we noticed the shower head was loose and hanging on by the hose, no bracket to hold it in place. We tried to notify the manager, no answer and the problem was never fixed. EXTREMELY annoying to be sure. The towels provided were paper-thin, looking like they have been in use a dozen years or more. The listing showed that it would have a coffee maker, but there was none. Again, we mentioned that in our attempted communication but no reply.

This property is exactly as pictured and described. We especially appreciated Manuel, the host who met us at the door upon arrival. He was accommodating, helpful, and took us under his wing making our experience one to remember. The communication was excellent and I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Alfama.

The neighborhood is great, but access to it is limited. Uber and taxis are not viable because the street names are hard to decipher, roads are very narrow w cobblestone, and the address listed on the website and Expedia's information was incorrect.

The little room itself was perfectly nice. The problem was the noise at night and on one of the 3 mornings that ,even for heavy sleepers, was impossible to sleep through.

The owners should be clear that this property is in a restricted zone. Uber is not allowed and access to taxis is almost non-existent. As a solo traveler needing to leave for the airport in the early hours, I left this property for another to ensure I was able to get to the airport in time.

Dear Debra I am very sorry you didn't like your stay with us. The area is restricted to locals but as you know you have the public road 20 meters from the apartments door. It has never been an issue to anyone to ask for a taxi, or an uber in the corner of the street. We also have the transfers that could have taken you to the airport. We provide all this information in the e-mail we send with the confirmation of the reservation. Besides all this you also had our whatsapp number to contact us in case of any assistance or information. I can see that you were upset with the limitation but we are here to assist all our guests. We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Absolute gem of a property! Perfect location, close to everything but on a nice and quiet street. Manuel was an excellent host. Great communication and recommendations. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Lisbon

Nice clean apartment, restaurant opposite, public transport walking distance, only thing about location, lots of hills, if you are walking with young children. Good communication and very helpful with the tour.

Posted 1 Nov 2021 on HotelsThe place is small but we have everything we needed, a grocery shop next door with lot of stuff for breakfast. The location is great like you are locals.living in the ground floor is good because you don’t need to climb the stairs but that is the reason we hear everyone passing in the street Although this is a side street . The late check in was great because we like the idea of someone waiting for us with a name sign😀 and picked us up from the airport to the room. The only issue was when we order an Uber and she couldn’t reached the place.
