I recommend this hotel for various reasons. My room was comfortable and very clean, with a window that can open for fresh air. The hotel staff is super nice and helpful. The location is nice, quiet and safe. The subway is right around the corner and several buses and trams as well. This made my visit to Lisbon special . Thank you to all.

Polite and friendly staff for a really seamless check in. Great location, next to Rato station and plenty of stores for groceries...which you'll need as there are only a couple of bars of soap and a small bottle of body lotion in the bathroom. However, there's a comfy bed, good hairdryer, and TV with lots of options. The shower itself has really good pressure. Local restaurant recommendation: Pabe, for authentic Portuguese cuisine.

The hotel is in a great location due to its proximity to the metro and local bus links. The staff were very helpful, and the cleanliness of the room was great. The breakfast was good but some more vegan options would have been welcome. Overall, my partner and I had a really enjoyable stay and we would stay here again.

We booked Mama Shelter because we loved the interior photos and the rooftop terrance, however, the room was basic, we didn’t have a kettle for tea and coffee and there was no complimentary water in the room, which seemed odd as there was a fridge. It very much feels like a “party hotel”, which isn’t really us, there are dj’s on the rooftop and hotel restaurant for guests and non-guests, and they are not considerate when leaving the hotel after dark. The windows in our room were not sealed properly and the drunk non-guests leaving combined with the street noise meant we did not have any full nights sleep at all, we were always awoken. The breakfast was good though, and we did enjoy the roof terrace when it was quiet during the day.

Location is very good. Staff were very friendly and the hotel has a good atmosphere in the evenings (restaurant / bar). We often had to wait 5-10 minutes for our lift to arrive from the 6th floor as they often were out of service. It would have been great to have been able to use the staircase, but this was locked. We were also accidentally locked out on the balcony after closing hours. The room was cleaned daily and was always “fresh”. Bring your own amenities to wash with, as they only provide a small bar of soup that also can be used to wash your hair.
