Beautiful villa. Walkable to the port, old town and cathedral. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you for having us!

The Villa Diana is a little way up a hill, it has a wonderful view out to sea. It's an old fashioned and very charming guesthouse with lots of character. Not a modern property, but therein laid the charm. My room had a good sized bathroom.

A quiet hotel off the beaten track above the town.

Pros: Its character and the artwork of Edwin Huzinger.
Cons: A little more direction on how to reach the hotel on first arrival.
Location: A full range of island visits and water based activities.
It proved a wonderful place to relax and reflect and a timely base for the range of activities and tours that the island offers. We shared our stay with other convivial guests, some of whom were regular visitors and were more than happy to share ideas and experiences.

Amazing view and lovely gardens
Posted 18 Sep 2017 on HotelsA great place for relaxing. A pension style hotel. I left my door open when I was in the room and let the sunshine and sea view pour in

One week in Albergo Villa Diana
Posted 26 Jul 2016 on HotelsAll in all, it was a nice hotel. the view was great and the breakfast was good. Just it is located quite uphill without any elevator. so if you are old, pregnant or have a lot of stuff, I don't recommend this place. the air-conditioner is good and makes inside's weather pleasant. Bath room is quite big and nice. The internet is good outside (in the balcony) but not so good inside the room. Although the two gentlemen in the reception are nice, lady serves the breakfast doesn't behave so nicely (maybe because she doesn't know English). Another important thing is that the tap water is not drinkable (I am not sure about the other hotels in Lipari, maybe all are the same) and a bottle of mineral water is sold there (in the reception) for 1.5 Euro, while you can buy it from the supermarket for about 0.3 Euro, but it is hard to bring them up there!

Thanks for the compliments for our hotel and for all. Unfortunately the tap water travels a lot: ship to Lipari, various communal tanks, our tanks: for this ew not recommend to drink. Still, the bottle of mineral water (1,50 liter) from refrigerator everywhere in Italy coast at least Euro 1.50. Thanks again and see you soon.

Location: Tricky getting there and rolling luggage uphill, but a short distance to town and easy to get a bus to great beaches.
A terrace outside our room with one of the loveliest views of anyplace I've stayed. Perfect place to read, write, sketch, enjoy a morning coffee or afternoon wine.

Local charm and fantastic view.
Posted 3 May 2016
Pros: The view fantastic and very private.
Cons: a little clean up of the driveway would make a better first impression.
Location: Within walking distance to everything in/around Lipari.
Above the town but a very reasonable distance for a short walk.(My preference is to be more local than tourist.)
My first impression was not great due the natural condition of property. Inside it has so much charm, local hospitality and history. Owners and staff very helpful. A staff person makes the morning marmalade! and collected the freshest orange off the tree NOT one on the ground.
All the property was very clean, bed comfortable and breakfast varied and satisfying.

Thank you very much for your compliments. It 's true: it is often difficult to keep clean the avenue when the ventoporta the leaves from the garden. The Aeolian Islands are the domain of Aeolus, the king of the winds.......We look forward to your next holiday

Posted 24 Aug 2015A lovely family run hotel, with great views and friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. Especially Paolo who was exceptional with his helper Gatto Stinky. Would definitely return without any doubt. Can't recommend Villa Diana enough. 😃👍🏻👍🏻
