This property was absolutely beautiful. It is very quiet and peaceful. Dont stay here if you are wanting a lively stay. This place is great if you want peace and quiet. The views are spectacular and the grounds are meticulously cared for. The kitchen is open for breakfast, and serves delicious light options. Dining and shopping are about 10 mins away. The rooms are spacious and super comfy beds, and bedding. Loved this stay!

This property was beautiful. However it was also one of the loudest places we’ve ever stayed at! Upon our arrival we were told that they were “out” of coffee ( at 7pm) and no she couldn’t make any. There was no coffee maker in the room, no microwave and no vending machines. We were further told that there would be no coffee until 7am and that if we wanted breakfast, that would start at 7am as well and be a $20 per person charge. Our room was full of flies, both large and small. We got rid of those and the bed was actually quite good. They did not provide room service unless you marked off what you needed on their sheet. Unfortunately when we returned the following afternoon, so had the flies. Yes it’s Maine. Yes it’s the woods. We stayed in four other Inns and did not have this issue. For what we paid, this property really missed the mark. We were very disappointed.

Pool was not heated thus almost unusable, room very sparse, and most importantly were surprised by being charged for breakfast upon checkout, which was never mentioned by staff; seemed like a normal bed and breakfast. Property grounds and setting are wonderful, but the place itself was not meticulously maintained to match the price, and the breakfast charge surprise was very off-putting.

Thank you lgal for sharing your thoughts about your recent visit. Sorry to see that you were not pleased with your stay. Actually the pool heat was set at 78 but due to its design we cannot cover the pool at night to retain the heat, so with cold over night temps it's difficult for the temp to recover (which is why we decided on Fri 9/13 to turn off the heat for the season). Regarding breakfast, the confirmation that you received from us clearly stated "A gourmet breakfast is served daily in our dining room. If you choose to join us for breakfast, 19.95 (plus tax) will be added to your room per person per day.". Moreover Expedia also clearly states that breakfast is available at a cost of 19.95. I hope the rest of your visit to Maine was pleasurable.

This place was everything and more. The chairs by the bay are perfect for morning coffee, the pool was peaceful to read next to and swim in, and the neighboring towns had the cutest restaurants and shops. We will most definitely be coming back.

We knew this was a nice place, but we were even more impressed once we got there. Check-in was simple, room was close. The bed was amazing. Normally pillows are a problem, but they provided many and we slept great. Room was spacious and great view of the grounds and water. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, sauna and the spa. The breakfast was good also. We would stay here again and recommend it highly. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Great time!!

Gorgeous place to unwind, listening to the waves in a spectacular landscaping. Beautiful and very spacious room. This is the ultimate place to stay.

Peace and Quiet
