Please, do NOT go!
Posted 12 May 2023 on HotelsI stayed for one night and the experience was horrible. The electronic key didn't work, the place is hot and smelly. The air conditioning doesn't work. There were insects in the room. We were charged for products from the Frigobar that we never consumed. They are thieves

Nice place, local area, alot of stuff around
Posted 30 May 2018We only had a night before flying out of Lima and wanted to stay in a safe area close to the airport. The area has a lot of traffic and places to eat around, walking distance from a huge mall. We were warned there are a lot of pick pockets late at night but for a clean room to crash before a long day of travel it was perfect.

Terrible Experience
Posted 13 Jul 2017
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Staff, bathroom cleanliness, sound insulation that does not make you feel like you are sleeping in the middle of a nightclub.
Location: Location is awful and dangerous but there are plenty of restaurants, shopping centers and cinemas nearby.
I reserved and paid for four nights at this "Hotel" but somehow they either failed to charge my card or their system made an error somewhere that did not show my reservation. I arrived in Lima Peru at 9:30pm and was exhausted from a 12 hr flight, this reservation error was bad enough but it gets way worst. I decided to pay for a single night anyways and settle the problem in the morning. This hotel is surrounded by night clubs and women offering illegal services. The loud music was on up until 4am in the morning and it was impossible to sleep. This is NOT a family friendly environment!! The staff was equally awful with security that wouldn't even allow my girlfriend in the reception area despite the fact that she was there when I checked in and asked them to give her access to my matrimonial room. The room was okay but very small. Oh and if you are hoping to stay there and bring in a bottle of water or maybe some food, forget it.... They dont allow even bottled water to come in with you and everything in the fridge is way overpriced. This hotel is in the worst possible location it can be.
The following day I checked out and stayed the rest of my 9 days in Lima Peru at a nearby hotel for half the price, actual caring service with a room twice the size and no restriction on water or food. Most importantly I actually got sleep and my girlfriend was welcomed at all times to come visit and stay with me.
This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had, do not stay here!!!

Worst Experience To Date,
Posted 6 Feb 2017 on HotelsThe worst experience i've had to date. I had a 6 hour layover for my next flight, so we booked this hotel to take a nap in-between flights. After a 40 minute taxi (longer than expected) from the airport, we arrive to check-in. I am informed the room was charging per person not per room, and they wanted double the money. Meanwhile, online it was just $5 more for the extra person. I was exhausted and tried to explain, she just smiled and then called her manager. After 30 minutes waiting and filing out guest paperwork, her manger advised her to say they are no more rooms left instead of honoring the online price. They canceled my room after this long wait and much frustration. I was forced to find a taxi and return to the airport even more tired and upset. It was an awful experience. I strongly advise NOT booking this hotel. The area seemed very shady too, we were being harassed by passers by constantly whilst trying to find a taxi. They also did not refund me.

A somewhat nice diamond in the rough
Posted 13 Sep 2016 on HotelsHotel ginebra was located in an area of town that our taxi driver called "not safe" it was located near a large building playing loud music until 2am. The hotel itself was clean, modern and organized compared to the surrounding areas. The room was small, the view out the window was nothing special but the shower had hot water and they gave us a complimentary breakfast. The staff was very friendly and arranged for our taxi and printed out our boarding passes.

The area is far from things to do but nice place if loud music doesn't bother you.
