This is a very good resort with nice pools
and close to Lihue. Nice views from the rooms.
Bring Keurig K-cups of your favorite coffee to make in the room. They also provide k-cups. Parking is expensive but its great to have a car to explore the island.

This is not a 4 star hotel. Added fees to each day equaled about $100 between parking, resort fee and taxes. That was over $500 additional cost than what Expedia makes it seem like you would pay. There are 3 restaurants on property; one closes at 4:30 pm, one needs reservations if you don’t want to wait long and 2 of them are completely closed Sundays and Mondays. Rooms are falling apart, doors stick/slam or just don’t function. Laundry machines didn’t work for us once we finally got an open one. There are 2 hot tubs and 3 pools which would be nice if there were chairs/loungers to sit on…the one day we decided to stay at the pool we sat on the ground! Asked staff for more chairs but were told that’s all they have. 25 pool loungers for 8 buildings of rooms…that math doesn’t work…and the resort fee lists beach towel and lounger as part of that fee! They had water stations to fill up your reusable bottles you were supposed to get but we never received them which was fine since the water station was out of order while we were there. They had live music in one of the restaurants but it was so loud in the tiny space that you couldn’t enjoy anything. I would never come here again and will hesitate in the future to book another Outrigger resort.

The property is beautiful and clean. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. I would give it five stars, but the beds were hard and small. Also, there is not much for dining options. We never ate at the resort because either the timing did not work out for us or we didn't want to spend that much on breakfast each day. Otherwise, I would highly recommend it!

The bar, restaurant, tiki/snack concessions were convenient and the service was great. The little convenient store was also nice. Only negative is that the ocean is rocky and the surf was rough so we couldn’t swim in the ocean at the property. Beaches nearby are a good option . So many great places to tour that are short drive from the resort

Aloha Joseph. Thank you for choosing the OUTRIGGER Kauai Beach Resort and Spa as your vacation destination and for taking the time to provide valuable feedback on your recent stay. The beach fronting our resort is secluded and ideal for on-shore activities. However, swimming isn't recommended due to strong currents and a lack of lifeguards. The closest swimmable beach is Lydgate Beach Park, just a short 5-minute drive from our resort. We look forwarding to hosting you in the near future. Mahalo- Jean L.
