When I booked this place it was supposed to be pet friendly. The staff was rude and incompetent. I sent them a pdf of my ESA and they couldn’t open it. The manager came out and was telling me to read the sign and wondering where my dog was. They wouldn’t rent me the room and I had to leave and find another place to stay.

Knowing how old the space is, and the life it's had - it's an excellent place to stay when you're in the Liberty area. The cost was reasonable. It had more amenities than I took advantage of. My review is more of a reminder about your location - you're in a smaller town that isn't always hosting tourists. There isn't a pantry/market - there's a vending machine for drinks. There aren't name brand amenities, so bring your liquids! But there is a McDs and BK in front of and next to... a gas station if you want to pick up your own provisions (water), and the diner is walkable and deeeelicious. You have a fridge and microwave. I appreciated the coat hangers above the shoe bench, and the room was spacious. Bathroom was small, but I have yet to be in a big bathroom in NY :) the town itself is quiet, and this was a lovely place to lay my head while I was visiting.

As soon as we came to our room, I notified via e mail and then went personally to the front desk, that a towel was missing and never got the towel. We are 3 adults and 2 kids, only received 3 towels.

It was clean. Front desk clerk not friendly (not a deal breaker but we’re not asking her any questions). Room was dated but clean. Bed uncomfortable and not entirely made up, Coffee maker didn’t work. Pub was very clean. Good craft beer selection and very nice bartender. The manager (I had to ask who he was while he was interrogating me) approached me at the bar to find out who I was because I had apparently been too inquisitive. That was weird. He was polite but demeanor was less than welcoming and more of a “what are you doing here”.
