A lovely old building in a quiet beautiful village that's a pleasure to stay in. Comfortable room, great food and friendly, helpful staff.

Recommend good base for Wensleydale

Very good staff who were well trained and attentive. Food was fine and good quality. Room was fine if lacking a few refinements such as a chair. Our bed was slightly on the hardside. However we would definitely recommend the Wheatsheaf. It has charm and well located for walks to Askrigg and Aysgarth Falls.

Fantastic staff nothing was to much of a problem for them 5 stars to them (especially Vicky and her daughter Lucy). Good honest food and well kept beer.
