"We arrived at the location and they didn't let us check in because we weren't a family. We were a couple of friends and just wanted to have location to enjoy out short holidays. They told us they would refund the money but just kept ignoring our messages. We had to do an online check-in where the saw that we weren't a family and didn't say anything until we drove 6h there. DONT EVER BOOK A ROOM HERE. "

Management company provided excellent service and went out of their way to meet us on a Sunday afternoon. Added bonus was the housekeeping. "I have never left a review this bad and I travel all the time. This property is not as described and a HEALTH HAZARD. 1. There is active MOLD growth in the lower level bedroom, very unhealthy. We had to book another location as this was unacceptable. 2. The property states it sleeps 4 persons which is inaccurate. We had two teenagers who could barely fit on the "pull out" couch which was not actually a pull out but a regular couch. Additionally there were no linens for the "pull out". 3....

"What a wonderful stay!! I was pleasantly surprised. I will say the comments from everyone were correct and helped with me to choose this property. It was my first trip to Vevey so i was very skeptical. I am a Hilton/Marriott member and was scared to death. Now I will NOT stay anywhere else but at Astra. the location is PERFECT especially if you will ride the train. The rooms will be beyond clean!! I am a germ-phob and I couldn't find anything to complain about LOL. Great stay if you are from the U.S. and looking for the comforts of home this is the place. Same as a Hilton. I did upgrade my room to a bigger room but that was just because i knew ahead of time that overseas rooms tend to run on the smaller side. Book it you wont be upset."

Excellent stay at Mona Hotel

"We loved our stay at Hotel Mona. I highly recommend to book a room with Lakeview, amazing view of lake Geneva. Our room was spacious, it had an included mini bar at no extra charge, chocolates and wine. Breakfast buffet was very good and has plenty of options, including omelette station. There's always coffee, tea, water and juice at the lobby free of charge and in the evening they bring out a Pop corn machine and candy. It also has a Jacuzzi, outdoor seating by the lake. There's laundry facilities free of charge, just ask at the reception for the key, the laundry room also has the ice maker machine and a microwave. The hotel's location couldn't be better, 5 minutes from the train station, 1 minute to the tram stop, the Freddy Mercury statue is less than 10 minutes walk by the lake, and shopping and restaurants close by. Customer service was excellent; we hope to come back to Mona Hotel."
