I would recommend a brief stay to those who are interesting in relaxing on hotel property. Seems a bit confined/restrictive for those desiring more independent activities outside the property. Pros: Hotel facilities, scenery, delicious breakfast Cons: Hotel didn't seem to have the booking from Orbitz--especially stressful when you're traveling to foreign region with young children. Hotel up-charged for credit card usage at front desk despite Orbitz guaranteed rate; in fact, I later realized there would have been no charge had I paid online through Orbitz website at time of check in. Hotel refused payment in dollars unless it involved brand new crisp bills--over half of my dollar bills turned out to be useless due to slight wrinkles/folds/tears. Internet service was completely unreliable, especially for apple phones/tablets. Hotel staff did not clearly communicate timelines for booking advertised hikes/excursions and did not provide me with map of the region to permit independent exploration (I learned that another guest had been given a map upon check in, and when I returned to inquire I was told no maps were available.)

Luxury on the lake

Lake at the front, and jungle wrapping around the back of the property. Swimming, yoga, massage, hiking, and bike riding in beautiful surroundings. Excellent staff

A slice of paradise.

Pros: The setting is perfect. The staff are excellent.
Location: A fabulous lake on your doorstep. A jungle at the back with excellent paving to walk through to the villagers. A coffee house nearby. Bikes available
Brilliant garden setting. Jungle with monkeys surrounding you. Full panoramic view of Lake Begnas. Fabulous balcony for evening drinks. Swimming in the lake at sunset. Paddling in a boat on the placid waters. A clean, large swimming pool. Wonderful, high standard yoga classes. Wonderful massages. The rooms are so beautiful. All with balconies and views. The staff are all excellent! There is walk to the Begnas coffee house, and you can purchase coffee beans and honey. Some of us went mountain bike riding. There is something for everyone here. A once in a lifetime experience. Thank you to the staff.

only ayurveda

Posted 14 Apr 2017
If you are not looking for Ayurveda treatments, this is not the right place to stay for holiday. Otherwise its a good place to relax, but there is no Spa for "normal use".

DON'T !! But take the time to read why...

We usually write a very short descriptive review with pros and cons of the place and even sums it up for you already in the subject of the review. This time we have so many burning things we have to write that we regret to inform you that it'll be long... And VERY accurate. For those of you with no patience at all (which we truly and utterly understand) WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO AVOID THIS RESORT !! As we are on our big trip, we've been traveling for the past 4 months (and keep on doing so for an additional 3 ;*), we've seen all sorts of hotels (and mainly guest houses - as you can't travel so long and keep staying in expensive resorts & hotels). Just to give you a general idea of the things we (sadly) grow accustom to - we just recently did the Around Annapurna track, followed by the Panchase (and prince Charles - look it up) tracks. We stayed at the High Camp - in a room of 20 people (filled by 7 including us) - trust us when we say it is not a pleasant stay (who ever made it that far in the track will immediately understand) - and the stay in the hotel mentioned in our review was worse. it's not the fact you're charged for every little thing - though they charge you for the breakfast you couldn't eat after the food poisoning you got from their last night's supper - because it's already been charged by the credit card company, it's not the filthy pool, old rumply towels, it's not even the fact that the bed was so horrible it was better to sleep with our sleeping bags in t
