Your booking reservation was for a 2 queen bed, non smoking room. When you arrived for check in you elected to leave due to the room being upstairs. We have graciously waived the 1 nights cancellation fee.

Huge room and bathroom which was so nice and very very clean. The inn is older so has a bit of that musty smell but it is not strong nor particularly offensive. We've been traveling almost a month now and my hubs got the best nights sleep he's had since we started out. Bed was very comfortable. We will stay there again when we go through.

I want to mention the maid that worked frantically, they need to hire more help. She did a great job. I didn't stay there but helped get a homeless man in for doing yardwork. I was able to check things out.

We are a small hotel, and in these hard economic times work as a team to make sure our employees get as many hours as they can to support their families. More employees would take hours away from all the employees. At Shanico inn, we value our staff and guest.

First off I have a homeless man do yardwork for me, and I'm able to get a room for the last few days for him. I believe the rooms are a bit spendy, but there are only few options in Lebanon.

Only 2 pillows on a king size bed. Went to the office and asked for 2 more pillows. Was told no. Asked why, and was told that they had lost 12 pillows in the last 2 weeks and were short of pillows. Not my fault, I expressed that we were not going to steal their pillows, and the manager gave us 2 pillows from his personal pilllows, or that's what he said. Room had the smoke detector covered and taped with plastic. Went and got manager. Not only was it covered, the batteries were missing. This is a violation by law. They uncovered it, said the last tenants must have covered it so they could smoke in the room. Put batteries in it. The room was stinky, heavy smoke smell, furniture was worn out to the extent it should have been put in the dump. Carpet was stained and hadn't been cleaned in years. TV was a small one, approximately 24", was across the room where you could hardly see it. Also, you had to pay upfront for your entire stay, and we had a room for a week. Not like every other hotel we have stayed in where you pay at the end of your stay. I'm assuming because like the pillows going missing, that the clientele that stays there, they might have a problem of people skipping out on payment for their rooms. Sketchy area, dog walking area was a homeless area also, no one ever picked up their dog poop. Disgusting. Drug deals right in the open. AC worked intermittently. DO NOT STAY HERE! My husband says the hotel needs to be burned or imploded.

Sad to hear you were not pleased with your stay. The guest before you, and the guest after you in that room reported pleasant stays. Other then the extra pillows you requested, which I was able to remedy by a personal loan, and the smoke detector issue, which was addressed immediately, you reported no issues with your stay till this review. In the future we wish you success in finding places more to your taste and liking.Notes: No extra pillows were given due to not having any. Mgr loaned 2 personal pillows out of his own property. Room smoke detector had been covered with plastic and batteries removed by prior guest, was uncovered and new batteries immediately replaced and checked for working order. When house keeper and manager was in room twice, detected no smoke smell whatsoever. Furniture is standard motel furnishing, New posture pedic box and mattress put in 3 months ago. Updated furniture in room 3 months ago. Carpet is older and dated but clean and stain free. TV is a 32 inch. Payment is at check-in which is standard motel industry procedure.

Great jogging down Airport/Russell Drive/. Check-in guy was super nice. I feel bad we didn't leave a tip for the motel maid (forgot) since it's the first time since Covid we had our rooms made up WHILE WE WERE THERE. Thank you SO much!!!
